Been here a few times but it was different this time, the sushi tasted off ( the cucumber seemed old and the crab meat was like mush). There were bugs flying around ( never seen that until now) I won’t be going back.

A must try! We come here regularly for sushi. Easy to get to. Plenty of parking in the shopping plaza. The restaurant is casual and not overly busy. Employees are all nice. Large menu. The sushi is always fresh and amazing!!! Don’t expect fancy or the bustle of dowtown St. Pete. Very chill. My only suggestion to the owners would be to update the menus. Menus are very worn out.

This is the worst hibachi I have ever had! I ordered the steak and shrimp with rice and a salad for $18.95. I only received four shrimp and eight less than bite-size pieces of steak which totaled less than 1.67 ounce. (Yes, I waited after seeing the plate) To top it off, the salad was warm and wilted.

Went in to pick up my order and the sushi prep area would have been shut down by a health inspector in a heartbeat. I mean no personal insult to the chef, but it was dirty, cluttered with boxes and food products stored on the floor. When I was instructed to grab my drinks from the cooler, I could smell a rotten fish odor from inside the cooler where I noticed ingredients stored without proper labeling. The dish sinks were right behind the cash register and were filthy. Tried a few bites of the food and everything was a major disappointment. I’m not writing this review out of anger. I just don’t want anyone with a hungry significant other as disappointed as mine was… or as grossed out as I was… also, 3 hours later and I dont have any symptoms of food poisoning… so that’s a plus!

This is a local hole in the wall. It’s not fancy, but the food is GREAT and service is always timely and polite. The fish is fresh, soups are hot, tempura is crispy and not overly greasy. Shame on the people who complain about food being cold when they clearly ordered a take-out meal. Prices are more than fair. I hope to keep coming here year after year.

I don’t know how this place is so highly rated. This is not only the worst sushi in St Pete, it’s the worst I have ever had. There is nothing fresh on the menu, every roll is the exact same thing. Spicy tuna or tempura shrimp. Spicy tuna is canned tuna with sriracha. Every roll has eel sauce or spicy mayo, or both. Low quality ingredients with horrible flavor.
Udon noodles are pretty good, but the chicken was inedible. Super over cooked and even tasted like rubber. Sake is low quality. Staff is friendly

This place was disgusting riding on the walls. The walls were filthy. The tables were filthy. The food was disgusting. The ginger dressing was bad. We didn’t even we took one bite of our salad and spit it out. Gross do not recommend this sushi joint anywhere if you do decide to eat here please Make sure you go to the hospital the next day. Wow! The freshest and most delicious sushi I have ever had– and I eat sushi a LOT from as many different places as I can find, for variety. I have found my new favorite sushi restaurant: Mori Sushi. Great daily specials for lunch, happy hour and even for dinner hours. Our waitress, Ashley, was so warm, inviting, passionate and knowledgeable about her restaurant and honest. She ensured that we did not have any allergy issues and even offered to add in or take out certain ingredients in the menu items, if necessary. It was a real treat to enjoy Ashley’s company and feel like a part of the family. I am now a regular customer. The tuna is Bluefin tuna, the portions are generous, the sake is delicious and served at the perfect temperature, the house-made salad dressings are amazing, and the fish is absolutely the most pure and fresh sushi grade fish I have ever tasted. The sushi chef is highly skilled in his art. Presentation is the best and most beautiful I’ve experienced. I don’t know how they do it, but I love it. I HIGHLY recommend Mori Sushi for friends, family, date nights, or solo dinners. The experience was top notch from the time we walked through the door until we left. Thank you for a wonderfully perfect evening to Ashley and the staff at Mori Sushi. See you again soon!

Stopped in because it was raining and I was hungry. It was in between their operating hours after lunch, before dinner, on a Friday. Ordered a Godzilla roll and Mori Special with a Sapporo. Absolutely fresh and delicious. Beer in ice cold glass, sushi well done and authentic. So good I added some hot saki and avocado roll with a volcano roll. Very pleased. Try this gem if you are in the Saint Pete area.
