We stopped in at Hanks Bistro & Brew in Eden, Utah and it immediately looked like a fun spot for brunch. Luckily for us, Sunday was brunch day — and wow, did we score!
I ordered the Hank’s Smash burger which comes with two juicy brisket/short rib/chuck patties, melted American cheese, grilled onions, BBQ aioli, and a few jalapeños for good measure. One heck of a burger — I couldn’t believe how good it was.
The Hank’s Potatoes (red potatoes, onions, cheese, and bacon) were total hearty, soul-food perfection. After that, I had to dive into a scone with that heavenly honey butter. And you just can’t leave without the Piezookie — a chocolate chip cookie topped with ice cream and whipped cream. Absolute dessert insanity in the best way.
The dining room was cozy and comfortable. We even caught the Broncos playoff game while we ate. Loved seeing the picture of Hank on the wall — he looks like a very good boy!
We’ll definitely be heading back to Hanks soon. Well worth the drive from Ogden Valley. Great brunch, great vibes.

“We are proud to share that Hank’s Bistro & Brew has been voted Best American Style in the Standard-Examiner’s Best of Northern Utah Awards! 2025” Casual restaurant with a variety of menu items but the atmosphere set it apart as the employees seemed to genuinely care about all aspects of the restaurant. Tables were quickly cleared off. We got up to leave, husband reaching to clear the dishes himself, when an employee was right there to do it for him. Husband ordered the Pizza of the Month with ingredients we would never have put together, a gourmet thin crust pizza, for a pepperoni-and-cheese guy, and it was filling and delicious. I ordered the shrimp and got six meaty shrimp and skinny fries, not greasy, with fry sauce. Excellent food. Salad bar that can be substituted for fries. Free popcorn while you wait. Look forward to ordering one of their smash burgers and a pazooki dessert. Husband almost ordered a fancy hot dog. There are tables to accommodate small and large parties. Sunday brunch 8 am to 2 pm. Closed Tuesday.

Okay I have gone here twice now once with a friend and once for my anniversary with my husband, and have loved it each time and we will most definitely be back! The staff is friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is chill and relaxed. The environment is fantastic and there’s great views all along the way to this cute rustic restaurant! The gluten-free options are mind-blowing and absolutely fantastic! Can’t even tell that they are gluten free! The food is absolutely phenomenal! Simple, rustic, but absolutely bang on! I have yet to find fault with anything! I highly recommend the trip to go to this restaurant!

Those sweet potato fries were insane. Some of the best I’ve had! Turkey pesto sandwich and pizza was great. The hot honey was a nice flavor. And you have to get the Farr ice cream- top tier place!

Such a great cozy and family friendly restaurant, with such delicious food and even better service! We came tonight to celebrate my nephew’s birthday, and the atmosphere is relaxed and chill! We had a few orders of the pb& j smash burgers, steak bowls, shrimp tacos, Cajun pasta with steak, hot honey pizza, the marghie pizza and appetizers! Also lemon drop cheesecake, basque cheesecake, molten lava cake and a couple pazookies. Everything was so yummy! We will definitely be returning! I ordered the shrimp tacos, and it was definitely chef’s kiss ! So flavorful! That cilantro lime rice is amazing!

Food is delicious with attentive service! Owner is friendly and greets guests. Staff is friendly and helpful. We ordered the Hanks Smash Burger and the PB&J Smash. Both were great and tasted fresh. Recommend ordering the sweet potato fries.

the best place in eden, possibly in all of utah. the staff was incredibly kind. let us try their fresh chips and salsa, popcorn on the house, checked on us throughout the whole dinner and even brought us ice cream at the end. just to be kind. everything ive had here is unreal. so delicious. entire menu is amazing. came 2 days in a row. french dip was the best ive had, French fries wee delicious, loved the jalapeño popper pizza (hot!!) 12/10 recommend all around!!!!!!!!!

Hank’s was worth the drive. We went for the smash burgers and they were fantastic! We tried the Bacon Blue and PB&J. Both were amazing. The onion rings and fried green beans were equally delicious! We loved getting to know the staff. Very nice people and fun place to visit.

Literally if I could give it more stars I would. The best staff, the best food, the best service. I cannot say enough good things about hanks. P. S. Sorry about the celebratory Harley burnout in the parking lot, the food was that good. I almost don’t wanna hype this place up cause I don’t want it to get crowded. But I highly highly recommend. If this tells you anything, today is my birthday and I came to hanks to celebrate. Hanks smash burger with jalapeños, habanero bacon jam with garlic aioli is the absolute business.

My daughter and I came here after skiing to try a smash burger and fries. It was fantastic, my Daughter said it’s the best burger she’s ever tasted and I agree. Very relaxing atmosphere and helpful staff. We will be coming back.
