I’ve given this place so many chances since the ownership change a few years ago, but it just keeps going down hill. Once a year, I subject myself to the tiki bar hoping that someone competent has taken over, and every year I’m disappointed even more.
Tonight was a new low. Service was awful and downright aggressive. The food was so bad that I would beg for Taco Bell.
This is the first restaurant/bar in my life that didn’t have a diet cola option. They also didn’t have milk or napkins. They seemed annoyed that we wanted to order food, and actively avoided speaking or looking at us….weird considering it was half empty on a Friday evening in peak season. 5yrs ago this place was packed.
The waitress was clearly not trained and lacked basic social skills. She would disappear for long periods without checking on any of her customers. She missed out on a lot of cash by not refilling drinks or providing basics (ketchup, napkins, silverware). She also forgot our fries on one order and by the time she brought them out (“it’ll only take three minutes”) we had finished eating and were ready for the bill.
You can see in the photos that the nachos were canned dry chicken and jarred sliced jalapenos on crappy chips with a light dusting of cheap cheese. An 18yr old in college kid can do better in a microwave. For 15ish dollars, this is crazy.
The Parmesan truffle fries were bargain frozen fries with a spice blend and then loose Parmesan flakes on top…the Parmesan just fell off when you tried to grab one, which defeats the purpose.
The burger was a crappy frozen patty, and the brats were “soft” according to my son.
Finally, the place has been completely neglected. The decoration hasn’t changed or been maintained since my first review 8yrs ago. The place is literally rotting and falling apart.
The tiki bar WAS great, and could be again. They just need a competent manager who trains their employees, maintains the property, and focuses on simple quality food.

We didn’t eat but a great view and well kept place. The bar had some drinks and a special cocktail if you wanted. It’s on the water with some seating around the bar. Bathrooms were clean and newer. It’s a nice place.

It’s a hidden place, hard to get the location with the google maps. But once you find the place you feel why it is so famous in Elkhart. You will be in love with the place.
We ordered food and they served to the lake side. There will be live music on weekends, you can check the schedule online for that.

Niko was a great and personable bartender. He deserves a raise!! Drinks are a bit watered down. The bar has music available and live performances on weekends. Good water view with small beach access. For a simple stop, give it a try.

We came here to celebrate my cousin’s 21st, and we were a considerably large group. The bartenders (Allie and Noah! Shoutout!) were perfectly lovely, friendly, and patient. They even took this picture of our group/family. Then they put on music for us to dance to, and we had a blast. Little local place on Elkhart Lake. We love it here! This is the only bar we hit when we’re on the lake. If you like a sugary mixed drink, you should give the Summer Hummer or the Elkhart Blue a try. Allie and Noah—Thank you for making her 21st so amazing!

I will give no star if I could. We ordered a Mojito and a soda, both tasted like water. Also food came after 1 hour and it was a a wrong order. $40 is what we paid. The worst restaurant in my life.

Waited over 40 minutes for a burger on the 4th (was not busy) was told by both bartenders not to worry about the bill because of the wait. 1 burger and 2 drinks. 2 days later they charged are credit card $167. Have called them and left 2 messages and sent an email with no response. I had no problem paying for my bill maybe $38 with a tip because we did eat had drinks but to tell us not to worry about and then charge us way over is not cool.

I ordered food and 30 mins later asked a server to check on my food, she comes back 10 minutes later and said the man who took my order and payment never sent my order to the kitchen. She apologized and walked away. No offer to compensate, no free drink while I wait, nothing. Here I am, an hour later still waiting on my food. I will never order food from this place again.
Update, the food finally came and was not even warm and much smaller than expected.
Also this is the second time my food has been forgotten about, and as a side note, their menu is very small, extremely limited choices.
