My wife and I had steak tortas. They were fabulous! Tender seasoned steak strips, tomato, lettuce, onion, mayo, avocado and cheese on a buttered and toasted bolillo. Jalapenos on the side. Great house made salsa and the ubiquitous red and green salsas picante in the plastic squirt bottles. The green was the best. A great complement of flavor to the tortas. Sodas in a can. Food truck style dining in a couple of old buildings in down town Commerce city. There was one friendly young man running the operation this afternoon; taking orders, cooking, serving and operating the cash register.
One building is the kitchen and Mexican seasoning supply store. There is a passage open to the adjoining second building which is a large dining area. Minimal in all aspects. Essentially a food truck with indoor dining. The food is authentic Mexican. Nothing fancy, but I have to give Taqueria Monterrey 5 stars just for the food.

Biggie
Chicken tasted old and dry and there wasn’t much food. We’ve ate here before and it’s usually good, but this visit seemed like they gave us old leftovers.

Husband went to get some tacos only to be met with a horrible attitude and zero common courtesy. So glad the new taco truck by Pete’s is here! Those guys are always nice and their food is amazing!!! And this is far from the 1st time we’ve been met with rudeness from the monterrey place. At least we know now not to give any more chances!!!

Absolutely the best find in Commerce for wonderful street tacos. They were beautiful and the taste was probably the best I’ve had! Recommend the pork tacos and green sauces. Chef really knows how to do it right. And they stayed open for us, so we picked up chilis and ice cream in the store while he cooked our order. Quick and friendly and will certainly make the trip to Oklahoma just to give them our money for tacos!

We walked in and waited a couple of minutes. We could hear people talking behind a curtain but no one came out. We turned to the left and saw couple of customers eating food in the dining room.We went back towards the front door and waited some more. No one came out so we left.

The food is amazing!! The storefront offers a vast array of items for all of your cooking needs. The menu selections are all great; it’s hard to choose. The facility is clean and inviting, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Adequate parking for all customers. I highly recommend experiencing this establishment!

This is the real deal! Food is excellent and priced affordably. Doesn’t look like much on the outside and nothing fancy inside either but if you want great tacos+ , you won’t do much better than this. Service is a little slow so allow enough time to enjoy the experience.

Fantastic! This is my favorite Mexican food in the world. Just walk in, grab a Mexican soda, open it with the bottle opener by the cash register, walk-into the restaurant area, and order the most fantastic Mexican food you can imagine. Try the chicken, steak, and pastor. Those are my three favorite meats at this restaurant.
