Love the bagels here! Today I came in for a breakfast sandwich that was perfect. Bacon egg and cheese on a lightly toasted sesame bagel. It’s not a great place to eat in, especially if it’s crowded. However, today, in September, early in the morning, it was perfect.

I’ll save you the phone call. Place is a complete dump you have a gross fish tank in the establishment. A mop would work wonders on the floor. Your employees seem annoyed that they actually have to do something when someone places an order. I said hello and got what can I get you. I thanked the employee without even an acknowledgment from him. Quality is bang average at best making the value for money spent totally disproportionate. I am just wondering if the employees will run business away or if the gross condition will lead to the health department closing you down. Seriously how do you walk into this place daily and accept the condition of the business.

Really disappointed last time we went. The bagels are solid but the sandwiches feel thrown together. the cheese wasn’t even melted. We went back in line to ask to remelt the cheese and they did. The service is decent and quick but it’s clearly a bunch of high schoolers working the place (nothing wrong with that but they should know to melt cheese on a hot sandwich! lol.) Chicken salad was good. I do appreciate the hot coffee bar, you don’t see those around often anymore. There are places to sit but awkward if you have a party of more than 2. Bathroom kinda gross.

The bagels here are usually pretty good. Sometimes you get them very fresh and when they are warm they’re excellent. This is definitely one of the best places to get bagels in the area. They offer a variety of sandwiches and other food offerings, but the bagels are the best part.

Convenient and great food. The wait/ counter staff were unable to live up to minimal standards. Unfortunately, as other people have written the service here is really reprehensible. The kids that work here seem to have no clue that they are here to serve other folks and therefore a nasty and sometimes uncalled for attitude is what the customer gets.
I tried to complain. I had been waiting an hour for my food. The bagel was not toasted as ordered. As they took the order back, my friends order and the rest of mine sat out COLD behind the counter. Disgusting for a place with 7 kids working and 3 cooks
The physical space hasn’t been changed since they opened over 25 years ago. It also appears that the edges of the floors are caked with grease and food particles. I hate to say this because the owner tries to be a very nice guy but he appears to be very unaware that these kids do not clean properly but have plenty of time to lean.
Upon telling an employee more than once that they were out of three kinds of coffee, at the end of 2 hours, they still had not changed any of those coffee cylinders. It’s unfortunate for the owner, that he is really unaware of how poorly these kids function. They run around like a bunch of ants -nobody really doing anything and looking at each other. Having worked in restaurants for many years and manage staff, it would probably be a better idea if there was somebody managing them who was training and monitoring them in how you behave and how you clean as well as how you refill . They might benefit if somone gave them stations versus random assignment.
This place only works if there are very very few customers and on any weekend in the summer that’s unheard of.

Came in today for two coffees and two breakfast sandwiches, never have I ever been asked so many questions in my life for two breakfast sandwiches…. Many times I had to repeat my order, bacon, egg, cheese and sausage. Salt pepper ketchup….. on a Kaiser roll. I was asked a few times the same thing, honestly I was getting annoyed. When preparing my coffee, I went to one machine and all it gave me was mostly water, the next machine the coffee ran out, the next machine no coffee… the fourth coffee machine…. Almost empty… I had to tell one of the staff that some of the containers were empty. Food is worth the price, but there are better options around the area. Photo of the coffee that I had to use three different machines to fill a cup.
I think a self order tablet would be better at this place.

First time here. Breakfast sandwiches very tasty . They have some of the biggest bagels I’ve seen in jersey .
Coffee was good and they have a lot of different flavors.
Customer service seemed above average .
Overall it’s a great spot that opens early for breakfast. I would definitely recommend it.
Older style place. I like to see it renovated with that center coffee bar removed and put it front of store in that right corner .
***If your headed to the beach early( Avon beach,,Belmar beach ) I’d recommend going here for take out versus Avon pavilion! Pavilion to go orders are not good.

Cash only (they have an ATM). Place your order and take note of the number on the receipt because that’s how you will retrieve your food. Great selection of bagels, great tasting bagels, and great breakfast sandwiches. Pretty big selection of refrigerator beverages and a decent mix of flavored and non-flavored coffee which tasted above average for a bagel shop/deli. Will definitely be back!
