Fantastic place to grab a drink. Great food great drink selection. My only complaint is that sometimes the Guinness pours are very poor. It all depends on the bartender. If every bartender poured a proper Guinness, it would be the perfect place. Pics show, it’s hit or miss.

Everything you’d want in a British Pub. Great atmosphere! Casual in every respect. Great pub food! With plenty of options. And the drinks! Just what you’d expect, including local options AND British favorites. With a great mix of clientele, the place feels just like a local pub should.

The Cock N’ Bull was a really fun and interesting neighborhood bar, with an excellent selection of beers. The bartender was also such a sweetheart, I enjoyed conversing with the other patrons, and my tenders and fries were pretty good as well. I’ll be back soon!

This is my absolute favorite bar in Columbia to come to and hangout with friends, unwind with a pint, and enjoy some good food. Great atmosphere, specials each night, trivia, good prices, and happy hour makes this the ideal spot for a weary traveler, but, and I hate the fact there even has to be a but. BUT, sometimes the Guinness is poured without the tender love and care that it deserves. When I first came here and had the delectable foam hit my lips I was in love. Finally a proper pint from a pub in the states. But, overtime the quality of the pours has faltered. I have witnessed, with my own eyes, a glass set down underneath the harp, poured forward, poured back, and filled to the top in one go. It’s hurts to see this happen to such a beautiful thing. But it happens. So all and all, it’s an amazing place that you’ll always have a good time at, however, if the bartenders realized that something as little as 119.5 seconds would be the difference of a life time for a loyal customer like me, then this would be the pub you dream of.

I’ve been going here for years to have a Magners in a “snug” when I want to feel cozy. I recently lost something important in the restaurant and it was protected and waiting for me when I figured out it was gone. That’s the kind of community I appreciate and value. We’ve lost a lot of places with this kind of character in Columbia in recent years. Protect at all cost!

1st time visit earlier tonight. Seven of us wanted to celebrate a birthday. Super friendly atmosphere, great beer and food. Waiter was awesome, making extra efforts to ensure food was cooked perfect for one with a food allergy. Don’t judge from outside. Go in and have a great time.

Stopped in to grab a few drinks, and try some food. The chicken fingers were delicious! I also ordered the spaghetti and meatballs to go, which was very flavorful!

The service at the bar was top notch, and the atmosphere was great!

Updated review: It’s been seven years since I wrote my initial review here for Cock and Bull. Since then we’ve been at the pub almost every Friday night for our weekly happy hour. All of the things we love about the place are still the same. The beer and food are good and the atmosphere, too. But what has kept us coming back week after week is the service, especially from our favorite; Gina. She always has our table set up and ready. She not only knows our favorite drinks, but knows US. When Gina isn’t there, the food and beer is still good and the other servers are fine, but it’s just not the same. So, when you go, ask for Gina. She’ll take great care of you and she’ll keep you coming back.

A generally good casual dining/drinking destination. Above average draft beer selection that’s more adventurous than most (about 15 taps). Liquor selection not as strong. As for wine, the good news is that there is some. If you are planning a visit, try to make it Friday and order the AUTHENTIC fish and chips special. Other dishes are good as well…typical bar fare. Atmosphere is literally homey…you will see.

I guess the catch here is drinks and sports because the food is sub par to say the least. The worst fish and chips I’ve ever had, and we won’t even start on the Scottish nachos. The gravy on the poutine was good but I just threw the rest of my $50 meal in the trash
Update:
The owner replied and stated they would have refunded the meal, but left no contact info.
