The Cafe and Mercantile & Market will be closed December 27th 2025 thru February 11th, 2026 for our annual break and renovation work. Cohn’s Cafe features a locally sourced breakfast and lunch menu. 110 South Main Mercantile & Market carries a selection of locally produced gifts and decor as well as Kansas made items. Cafe hours are breakfast/lunch 9-2 Wednesday thru Saturday with a selection of quiches, crepes, soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. Dinner is served Friday and Saturday 5-8 with a selection of Locally sourced dishes. The Retail store is open Wed-Sat 9-2 and Fri/Sat 5-8. Be sure to browse through locally handmade and hand produced gifts, art, keepsakes, and decor when you dine at Cohn’s Cafe.

Neat little restaurant in downtown Fort Scott. We were greeted upon walking in the door by friendly staff, seated immediately and got our order fairly quickly. The crepes are delicious and are the biscuits and gravy. Very generous portion sizes and the prices were very reasonable. Staff was attentive and great as was the food.

Absolutely delicious! We had a wonderful dinner at Cohn’s—everything from the appetizers to the main dishes was flavorful and well-prepared. We had a great Easter weekend enjoying warm coffee and crepes inside away from the rain storms. The staff was so kind and helpful. I was impressed with the cloth table covers and napkins and the presentation of real cream in a cup not a coffee mate plastic cup and the small coffee spoon and saucers were so pretty. Thank you for your hard work in downtown historic Ft Scott KS!
