I came in with my son for a to go burrito. It was our first time here, so we were asking normal questions about the menu nothing crazy, just trying to figure out the difference between burritos and ingredients.
One staff member was actually helpful and was about to explain things, but another (who appeared to be the owner or manager) stepped in and became extremely condescending. We were told to “read the menu,” had items read aloud to us in a patronizing way, and were spoken to like we were inconveniencing her for asking questions.
When I said we didn’t want pico de gallo, I was told it was “Mexican salsa” in a dismissive tone despite it not being clearly listed. The whole interaction was uncomfortable, especially with my son standing there.
Customer service matters. A little patience and kindness go a long way, especially with first time customers. Unfortunately, this experience made us feel unwelcome, and we won’t be returning.
I’m not coming back and I think some customer who also heard all that are not coming back as well.
Located on the east side of Santee off of Mission Gorge Rd near Magnolia. The restaurant is easy to miss tucked in the strip mall.
The restaurant is small, therefore good for take out items.
We tried a variety of items they offered and everything was good. The burritos are absolutely humongous!
Then comes the guacamole rich and creamy with just the right balance of lime, cilantro, and chunks of ripe avocado. It adds a fresh, cool contrast to the warm carne asada, and ties in beautifully with the rest of the ingredients. But the real curveball? Lumpia crispy, golden Filipino spring rolls tucked right into the burrito. It’s unexpected, but it works. The crunch of the lumpia adds texture, while the slight sweetness of its filling brings an intriguing balance to the savory core.
On the side, you’ve got fresh salsa and chips, which act like the perfect encore. The salsa is bright, zesty, and clearly house-made none of that jarred stuff here. It’s a perfect dip for the crisp tortilla chips and a palate refresher between massive burrito bites.
This dish is a mashup of cultures and flavors that surprisingly harmonize. It’s not just food it’s a full-on experience.
Definitely a 10/10
Bring an appetite, an open mind, and maybe a nap for afterward.
