The pizza was almost comically bad. In no world is this a NY slice. It tasted like middle school cafeteria pizza. Had I looked at pictures instead of just going off the rating I would’ve known better than to try it; what NY style pizza do you know has white crust? Buyer beware

I ordered a margarita pizza a couple weeks ago (I can give you the specific date if you’d like) and the kid on the phone argued with me telling me there is supposed to be ricotta on it. NOT what the menu said. The pizza wasn’t even fully cooked I didn’t taste any mozzarella. I am usually not one to write bad reviews, but thanks to the kid on the phone, I just did.

We ordered a deluxe pizza over the phone. They had the pizza ready in 10 minutes and it was delicious. It had plenty of toppings on it. The flavor was tasty and refreshing.

This pizza is about as NY style as Los Angeles. I get everyone has bad days.. but come on. I’ve never ordered a New York pie that needed to go back into the oven. If you like thin crust pizza and have had it in the Northeast… do not go here. Thanks Sal’s. You guys should just sell ’em frozen. P.s. Ordered Friday July 5th at 12:07 P.M… Paid $31.04 for that lukewarm, floppy garbage.. A week later I still miss my 31 dollars and 4 cents.

Full disclosure, I used a Groupon for my visit. I’ve been driving by this place for years as a native Virginia Beach resident and never been to this place. Since covid I want to support local businesses. The Groupon should have been more detailed than just 2 large pizzas. It should have said cheese pizzas. Any additional toppings is going to cost you extra. Despite this the pizzas were made quickly and were great tasting. 18 inch pizzas are just huge. Authentic NY style pizza. Crust was crunchy and chewy at the same time. I recommend anyone to try this place. Support local business. Great discovery.

Absolutely disgusting. I ordered a thin crust and the crust was not thin and it was undercooked. Doughy mess. Don’t waste your money. I called to give them a chance to correct and they said it would be another hour plus if I wanted a refund I had to leave it by my door so someone could collect it lol. Yes let me stink up the building for the other residents. What an absolute joke. Thankfully I ordered through slice who issued me a refund immediately. See pictures for floppy garbage and raw cheese.

I do not know who is giving these places high ratings when the pizza is very poorly crafted. Rubbery, soggy texture from the middle to the front of the slice. Crispy on the bottom exterior edges but barely seared on the top as typically the cheese would be brown, but this pizza was not. Ordered pizzas and none of the kids nor the wife finished a slice. Waste of money. Not sure where the quality in the process of making pizza has gone.

The woman who took my order and cooked my pizza was worth the experience. The pizza was just pizza. She is a angel from heaven tho, very polite. Very friendly, attentive and informative. Made the experience joyous when everything else was mediocre. I hope she has a great day.

Update: I ordered their 20″ deluxe pizza for takeout via the Slice app…the owner special “5% off your next order”. Well, yes. It was 5% off the price. But the resulting pizza looked like it had 30% less ingredients. One of the chintziest deluxe pizzas I’ve encountered. And what’s worse..at least an inch beyond the edge was devoid of any ingredients…just a weak layer of cheese.
I’ll be back some day in the distant future for the Philly CheeseSteak Sandwich….but doubt ever again for their pizza.
