Excellent old-fashioned ice cream spot right on the harbor. They offer a huge selection of flavors, ranging from classic to creative and imaginative. I especially enjoyed the Watermelon Chip and the Blueberry. The blueberry ice cream, made with blueberry purée and Maine wild blueberries, was outstanding, easily one of the best ice creams I’ve ever had. Be sure to treat yourself while exploring Boothbay Harbor!

While walking around the lovely town shopping area, we wandered into this ice cream shop. We were the only ones in here yet it took nearly 3-4 minutes for the man in the back to finally help us. He was on his phone via an AirPod and was talking to someone in his native language. While the ice cream was good, both waffle cones had an ice cream ball hanging off the edge… as a huge ice cream shop person, this doesn’t make sense. Had we walked outside into the warmth, this would have fallen to the ground. ( didn’t get a photo of the second cone, as he was too busy trying to save the falling ball).
Over all maybe it was a bad day for the employee or maybe he wasn’t trained on how to actually scoop and make a cone…

Nice enough to keep the doors open close to 9 when they close! Very nice gentleman behind the counter that helped us with gluten free suggestions as well as his favorite flavor combos! The portion sizes are huge for the price!!

Was here in Boothbay harbor with my husband for 3 days me and my husband visited this place twice a day. Absolutely fabulous the best ice cream I have ever had chocolate raspberry truffle and chocolate fudge Oreo I loved those two flavors and they have over 70 different flavors that I have never seen at any other place it’s must to visit

We stopped by Downeast Ice Cream Factory for a quick ice cream. We each ordered a kiddie sugar code and they didn’t disappoint on the portion size. Our only qualm was that they had run out of some flavors, but tbh – to be expected in the off season so it was ok!

The Orange Swiss Chocolate Chip ice cream is the best!!! There was only one person working in the shop tonight and he was brilliant! Great sense of humor, handled a line of 8 people with aplomb and definitely deserves a raise! We come every year and love this place!

Do not let the long line scar you away. The staff moves quickly and efficiently and the ice cream is certainly worth the wait. Too many flavors to even begin to mention. This is a vacation tradition each year when traveling to Boothbay Harbor. Love it!
