Since 1972, Taco Rio has been serving Northeast Arkansas the highest quality Tex-Mex food around.
It all started as Tacu Hut, and in 1990 changed our name to Taco Rio — but all the flavor, recipes, and traditions our guests have loved for more than 50 years are still the same today.
Our taco meat, chips, shells, dips, sauces, chili, beans, and chicken are prepared fresh every single day. Nothing we serve comes from a pot of water brought to a boil — everything is made with care and attention, just like it always has been.
Taco Rio is a generational experience. Your great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, and kids have all shared a meal with us over the years. We’re still in the same place, doing the same thing, the same way

Used to have great food- now is the worst quality yet most expensive Mexican food in town. Beef & Cheese burrito had only meat on an unfolded tortilla (like a taco) with unmelted ?frozen? Cheese sprinkled outside. Left meat nachos off order. 1 burrito, 2 enchiladas, 8 tacos with stale shells, $100. (Jan. 8 ~7pm) started to go back, nahhh, just keep that nasty shit.

Absolutely wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about Taco Rio. It’s been around Paragould my whole life. My parents enjoyed it when they were young. Now it’s one of my very favorites too. The owners are good people. People from all neighboring cities make it a point to visit while in the area. It is that good. A+.

Store was clean. Young man at the counter had a smile, he whispered, we had a hard time hearing and understanding him. Food came out really fast, it was cold.

Accidentally came in 5 minutes before they were closing, they told us we were more than welcome to sit to eat inside anyway. Staff were so friendly and the food was AMAZING! Can’t beat .69 cent tacos on Tuesday!

My husband picked up a taco salad for me there on March 29. I’ve been patronizing this establishment since they opened. I was 18. I’m 65 now. The salad i received had no dressing on it, the meat looked and had the consistency as though it had been cooked yesterday and had no flavor whatsoever. I called and explained this to them. They did say they would give me another salad but why would I want one that’s going to taste exactly like this one? Makes no sense. I told the manager I thought the honorable thing to do would be to reimburse my money. But apparently she didn’t see it that way. I paid $13.00 for a salad that was worth .50¢. I told her I don’t call and complain and I don’t but this is so bad I had to call. I told her I called because I didn’t want to put this on their reviews but since they refused to reimburse me for the salad that I was going to put a review on my experience. She asked me why? I told her because I felt I should have gotten my money back given I could have gotten one for the same price at El Acapulco but I chose Taco Rio. I did tell her my family will no longer patronize the establishment and she hung up on me so if I could give my experience a -0, I would. When you get take out, check your food before you leave. This has never happened before so I can only assume management has changed but the quality is horrible. So, I’m putting $13.00 in the trash. Very poor management.

I have never complained online about a restaurant or service! I have always liked Taco Rio in Paragould. It is a shame after years of great service and wonderful food since 1972 it has fallen to terrible service, expensive food that is cold and such small amounts. After about 9 phone calls with a busy signal. My husband drove to taco Rio and ordered our food to go. Very few people were in the restaurant. So they weren’t busy. The phone must have been off the hook! He reminded when he ordered our meals that we wanted chip & dip. He came home with no chip & dip. Very expensive and the order not correct. We drove back to get our chip & dip! The person a woman that waited on me was not friendly at all about not getting our order right. I wish I knew who the management is. I would gladly tell them their business will fail unless they provide better food, service and a friendlier staff. Also I worked at this Taco Rio years ago when Bonnie & Kemper Kissee owned and operated it. What a disappointment. Thank you whoever may read my post. I’m normally very calm and never complain. This needed to be acknowledged.

Clean restaurant, but food tastes like ground beef with taco seasoning. Plenty of other great authentic Mexican restaurants in town to take your money to.

Really has been a great place in Paragould since 1972. The issue is, it is quick serve Tex Mex that costs a fortune. The staff has zero interest in making sure you have a pleasant experience, especially considering how much you just paid. We miss the good ole days.

Cashier was rude. Food had no flavor. Some of the beef in my taco salad and my old man’s tacos was so hard you may as well have been chewing on rocks. However the dressing for the salad was delicious.
