Had Chiroy’s on my list for a while, so my friend and I decided to check it out for breakfast.
We ordered the breakfast burger with hash browns, and a Machaca Burrito.
One guy took care of everything.
I guess the cashier was on break.
He came from the kitchen to our table to take our order.
He brought our drinks.
He cooked and brought our food, and returned again to bring a bowl of fresh, made to order, guacamole.
He also brought the to-go containers and extra garlic sauce to take with us.
He did a great job on his own.

My one cup of coffee was delicious and I would have like to have another cup, but it was never offered, that’s why I took off one star for service.

There were a few tables inside that were left with dirty dishes the whole time we were there, so that’s why I took off for atmosphere.

All in all, the food was good. That’s what’s important.

*Bonus points for having a great music Playlist playing while we ate.

I recently visited Chiroy’s Cafe and had an amazing experience. I ordered the California Omelette, and it was super delicious. The omelette was absolutely loaded with bacon and avocado, with a whole large avocado both on top and inside. It was perfectly ripe and delicious. The bacon was exactly how I like it—chewy—and there was plenty of it both on top and within the omelette.

The omelette was complemented by two sauces provided by the nice waitress, which added an extra layer of flavor. I absolutely demolished my plate. The hashbrowns were okay, but not remarkable compared to the omelette, which was definitely the star of the show.

The pancakes were also really nice—tasty, fluffy, and like little sponges of heaven. I highly recommend everyone to visit Chiroy’s Cafe.

Chiroy’s is a hole in the wall type restaurant…not being from NC, I’m not going to lie and say the area wasn’t a little sketch, as we pulled up I saw a decent sized group of homeless people congregated outside the small strip mall.

Nevertheless, I’m glad that didn’t scare us off because this place was phenomenal!

There’s plenty of parking. We pulled up in a boxtruck and were able to find parking quickly, which is always a challenge for us.

Immediately, I knew I wanted to try the Guatemalan breakfast. It did not disappoint. The chorizo and churrasco were flavorful.
My youngest daughter ordered a French toast plate, and the portions were good-sized. My oldest wanted the quesabirrias, and she said the flavor was excellent and the tortilla was crispy and not soggy.

Now for 3 people, with 3 decent size plates, coffee, and 2 milkshakes, the bill was $85…so this is not a cheap place but definitely has big enough portions to share. Highly recommend

Well rated Mexican & Guatemalan eatery in a National City strop mall. You could almost miss this place because it looks like a small takeout w a funny name, but it is worth the stop. We had a very healthy Veggie omelet w house potatoes & (buttery) pancake side along w a bowl of Oatmeal & a skillet breakfast. Everything was tasty & delicious. Great salsas too, red & green. Lots of new stuff on the menu that I want to try when I go back!

Fantastic breakfast spot, they make everything by hand including the hash rows. Martin the owner loves what he does and it shows his entire staff is here to service your every need and the food is delicious. I love breakfast spots like this reminds me of my childhood.

Small restaurant in a little strip mall. They’re known for their Mexican and Guatemalan breakfast dishes, but also have a pretty sizable menu with classic American options. We got the Guatemalan breakfast and really enjoyed everything. If you’re going to pick one meat, I really recommend the churrasco. Their salsas are also excellent and the cafe de olla is pretty decent.

The service was very nice and helpful. The restroom is also very clean and well-kept

Was definitely a hole in the wall, could have been a little cleaner, eg. the high chair, but the food was so delicious. We got pancakes, French toast, chorizo skillet and heuvos rancheros. Everything was so tasty and flavourful. We even ordered more French toast because of how delicious it was. So glad we stopped here. It was the best food we had on the this trip.

Really good breakfast, good service. The coffee here was amazing. It was brewed with cinnamon. I think it’s a Mexican way, my wife’s aunt would make coffee like that. The aroma and flavor was so good!
The food portions were just right.
My wife got the Denver omelet, hash browns, and french toast.
I received the banana crepes and scrambled eggs and hash browns.

The coffee gave it another star. But the food was very good. One thing that extremely disappointed me is the items on the menu were priced all wrong. They had not updated it. So a 13.99 plate ended up being 18.99. it’s not right. And don’t get the fried bananas as a side. That cost me 6.99 for 1 fried banana. But I will be going back because the coffee was so good I just know to use the QR code on the table for the correct prices.
