Great find near Lander! Loved the old timey vibe of the decor and overall ambiance of this restaurant.

Dinner was absolutely delicious; from the Relish plate to the cabbage rolls (with the sauce from the raviolis). The salad was a little underwhelming (chopped ice berg lettuce with sparse shredded carrots and purple cabbage slaw) but the blue cheese dressing made up for that! Steak and prime rib were very generous portions, and the fried chicken was good and juicy.

Loved that there was cool air blowing from under the table as it was in the 80’s outside.

Will definitely have to come back when in the area!

The man in the turtle neck:

This had to be the most foul dining experience I’ve had in recent years. Gordon Ramsey couldn’t save this place.

Was traveling for work and figured I’d stop in for dinner. There was a total of maybe 7 people in the restaurant and it took over an hour to get my steak.

The food looked like it was close to expiring to start out with vegetable platter. The celery was brown, the banana peppers were cut in half? Kinda weird….. then they brought out the sarma and “the ravioli”. Just one ravioli and sarma and the pork was dry and gave me the hiccups.

After that I was given a salad with blue cheese that tasted like it expired several months ago. I took one bite and just passed it to the side to be picked up. To close out I finally got my filet order and this was where I just gave up on the dinner.

It was undercooked and then wrapped in uncooked bacon. When I cut into the steak they shoved skewers through the entire steak to keep the bacon in the steak. I ate about a quarter of it before deciding I didn’t want to risk food poisoning. Also the French fries tasted like they were cooked in dirty oil. After sitting for 10 minutes I finally wanted to cash out and had to get up to go to the bar to ask if I could pay my bill.

Also, the smell of the restaurant is unbearable and that should have been the first time to get up and leave. I couldn’t figure out if it was mold, cabbage, or both.

$70 well wasted.

First time going to Svilar’s. Hear so many different things about the place. Well I had prime rib rare. It wasn’t rare but still edible. My friends had filets steaks and they looked amazing. They also have ravioli and Sarma. Truthfully I wasnt a fan of either one. Service was amazing staff was amazing. The owner came out and well hes a riot himself. I cant say if would have the prime rib again but I will go back and have a steak.

Restaurant had an awful stench throughout.

No soap in either bathroom; so where does the staff wash their hands gross. Plus they handle your food. GROSS

My baked potato was rotten inside when I cracked it open–although it was replaced.

My almost $50 ribeye was tougher than leather. And the carpet WAS ABSOLUTELY FILTHY.

Our waitress was excellent and attentive, and helpful.

I would not waste my money in this establishment given the cost and grossness.

REPLY TO REPLY: Bought two ribeyes, didn’t split anything, paid cash, it was near closing by the time my son cut up my ribeye and commented how insanely tough it was as we put it in to-go container, THE STAFF SHOULD BE STOCKING EVERYTHING DAILY INCUDING SOAP NOT BEING TOLD BY CUSTOMERS, your filthy carpet can be vacuumed till the cows come home but if isn’t replaced or at least shampooed ITS FILTHY. Furthermore, yall clearly have no idea who I am since again WE BUY MEALS NOT SPLIT ONE PIECE OF MEAT. UP YOUR GAME AND DON’T BLAME MY OBSERVATIONS.

Steak was tough. Very disappointing as we drove a long ways to try it. Very expensive to give to dogs, but that is where it went, because i couldn’t eat it. Brown rice- plain ole brown rice out of box or bag, no seasoning whatsoever. Was a rip off and we made a 2 night trip to that part of Wyoming to try this place. Not impressed at all.

The last thing I expected in the middle of Wyoming on a Thursday night was the BEST steak and lobster I have ever had. Thank you Svilar’s for the best lobster tail and fabulous entire meal.

Food was good, service was lacking. Basically not enough staff for the crowd they had. Two hours from being seated to receiving our meal. Got the impression there may have been only one cook that night. We were not the only ones waiting. At least, one table got tired and left.

The food is great and the portions are amazing, if you are a blue cheese lover then this is the place for you. The meals include a salad, a homemade ravioli, a sarma (beef cabbage roll), a dinner roll, and finally your steak and side. The food is always good and filling however the steaks always range in doneness depending on who is cooking. I usually order just under what I would prefer seeing as it usually is over cooked. Additionally some steaks can be very under seasoned. But in the end it is a great restaurant for the area with classic decor and very reasonable food.

Svilar’s had some highs and lows. The steak and onion rings were great — definitely the highlight — but the appetizers weren’t very impressive. The service stood out the most: slow and a bit awkward, with a long wait before my server ever came by. Overall, good steak, but not an experience I’d call five-star.
