Don’t really listen to the bad reviews. I think they were just very picky and extra. No where they state they’re authentic so don’t know why people think that.
Anyways this place is awesome and food is flavorful. Reminds me a lot of Lee’s another Banh MI place I used go to when I was a college student in Riverside. I definitely will be a permanent customer. Staff was super friendly as well as the owner. Owner loves and appreciates any compliments or criticisms to learn and grow for the community. I love that everything was super fresh so unfortunately there is a wait time but it’s worth it. Fresh bread fresh veggies and fresh meat. If I have to wait for fresh bread because they make their bread fresh then I’ll be happy to wait. Don’t be shy to try this place out.

The restaurant was clean. Customer service was friendly. I was super excited. They had a wide variety to choose from. I ordered the meatball banh mi and the pork belly banh mi in addition to egg rolls and coffee.

Super glad there’s a Bahn mi shop in Lancaster! Overall it’s ok, but there’s some significant room for improvement. We tried the house special and the grilled pork Bahn Mi.
Bread: Bread was nice and crispy and had a good flavor. Definitely the best part.
Veggies: Not enough veggies and not pickled at all. No diakon at all. This is the biggest area for improvement. Double the amount of veggies and pickle the carrots and diakon.
Meat: the meat needs to be grilled longer / higher temp / less per batch. The marinade on the pork was good, but it needs more browning from the grill to really bring out the flavor.
To the owners, if you make a few changes to your recipes soon you’ll make a big impact to the flavor and keep new customers! Very easy things to improve, so I hope they can make the changes!
I know this is a brand new business, so I’ll be back in a few weeks to try again for sure!
Small notes:
1: Move the egg roll warmer to the kitchen. It looks very messy, and if it’s hot enough to need a sign it’s a potential liability.
2: Put a door on the kitchen entrance. It’s loud and distracting for people eating inside.

Just checked out the new Vietnamese sandwich spot that opened in Lancaster, CA, and wow — if you love bánh mì, this is the place. The sandwich selection is solid with great flavors, fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced bites. The egg rolls are absolutely delicious — crispy, hot, and addictive.
The staff is super friendly and welcoming, which really adds to the experience. The atmosphere and overall vibe are spot-on: casual, comfortable, and inviting. This is officially my new go-to spot for Vietnamese sandwiches in Lancaster. Highly recommend!

Very disappointing in coming here. Was looking forward to finally having a place that has bahn mi in the AV.

If I knew I had to wait thirty minutes, I would have just gone down to the valley and got myself some good sandwiches. maybe because they are new and still need to train staff? this was a very bad first impression and I will not be returning.

First time visiting and we were not disappointed. We ordered the pork roll and roast pork sandwiches – which came with 2 free pastries and sodas! What a deal for about $7.59 a person.
I think they need to charge more because the quality was excellent. The bread was fresh and it showed. The big surprise was the sausage pastry! The meat was well seasoned and the pastry was flaky and delicious.

Please do not listen to the bad reviews… This is the best Bahn Mi I have had in the state of California. I highly recommend coming out. Plus the owner was open to criticism and promises to incorporate for future orders.

They’re constantly running out of bread. I’ve been there three separate times and three different weeks and they didn’t serve me because they were out of bread. When I did end up trying it, the sandwiches were skimpy and mid. And the bread was very hard in a stale kind of way. Steer clear of this place I’ve had much better banh mi down below.
