Our first time in WV and our first time in Charleston and we were just passing through, but decided to stop here for dinner after a quick Google search. This place did not disappoint! Food was fantastic-I had a brisket dinner with Mac & cheese + coleslaw. My daughter had the ribeye – said it was the best steak she’s had; “no offense dad.” (Hubby is pretty talented at the grill so she must have REALLY liked it!)
Hubby ordered the Mac n cheese wrap but it was late and they had run out of Mac n cheese, so he got the catfish dinner instead. Yum!)
We ended with cupcakes to celebrate their 4th year in business and a really great chat with the lovely owner who clearly loves her community and her family.
We loved this place and we’ll be back; we’ll send our friends too!

Can’t recommend them enough! An amazing and hard working local family owned business that serves great food! Everyone is very friendly and it doesn’t take long to get your food even when they’re busy!

Ordered takeout of some Empanadas and they were absolutely amazing! To find any empanadas in WV is a feat in itself but to find ones that taste authentic is rare. I will definitely be trying more things from this restaurant.

I honestly had the best meal I’ve had in years here! I had the catfish nuggets and my wife had the brisket sandwich. Oh my god both were so damn good. The homemade tarter was amazing! I hope the chef knows how great they are!

As someone from out of state, I wasnt too familiar with food from the region but this was close to where I was staying so I was curious.
My goodness, ive never had food as incredible as this. Fried catfish was perfectly breaded without too much breading, didn’t taste frozen at all and was very fresh. Mac and cheese was divine and as a Latino person, the empanadas were to die for.
The two men serving were also very kind and friendly, and I can see the clear passion with what they do, not just in serving the people but helping those in need.
Anyone either vacationing or driving by must come here if they need something to eat!

Food was great! Also the homemade cakes, especially the chocolate with brownie made by chef is now top on my best desserts-not super sugary and very flavorful! And make sure you donate towards their feeding hungry efforts of you can, sharing is caring!!

Although we went for dinner, our party of 4 ordered omelets and breakfast bowls with grits and grilled shrimp. The omelets came with chunky potatoes (perfectly seasoned) and toast. The bowls were equally delicious and seasoned well (grits outstanding!).
The restaurant is decorated colorfully and was immaculately clean. I also have to really brag on the service ~ both the manager and our server were attentive and gracious.

A rare find in Charleston, WV. A picture says a thousand words, so I attach quite a few photos for your viewing pleasure. The pleasure was indeed all ours, with delicious food on every corner of the plate. Catfish with the Broccoli/MacCheese and Whiting with the Greens/BakedBeans. I haven’t had such food since my Daddy had fish fry’s when he was still with us.

The food was so delicious! The pork was so tender, the cabbage exquisite, the rice yummy. The chicken was awesome! The bbq sauce tangy and delicious. The service was exceptional. We ate outside with our dog in the beautiful spacious outdoor area. We were driving through Charleston en route to Shenandoah and this was such a treat! Exceeded all of our expectations!
