It’s my mom’s place to get Caldo de Res (beef soup) & my 1st time (thus the 4 star only) & I got Costillas de puerco en salsa verde (pork riblets in green sauce) with beans, rice, & cactus. The entire meal was filling along with the homemade tortillas they are making as you enter, homade chips, and pineapple drink. If you want a homemade meal, that is what you will get, but must be patient waiting for it.
Next visit, I will try their Lengua in sauce. We showed up at 12:30 pm & just missed the busy crowd per staff so luckily they had open tables & staff was friendly.
The atmosphere is simple, no loud music, mom said they have tv, but it was low. A young man with a guitar did sing 3 beautiful songs then asked for tips, his singing brought up the atmosphere so the tips are deserved.

I ordered a caldo de res and it was pretty good. It had enough meat and veggies, it was very flavorful. Will definitely come back. I used to go to Mi Jacalito that’s on the next street by the bank but the food doesn’t taste that good anymore, I’m not sure if they hired new cooks but it’s definitely not the same. But this place is good at least the caldo de res but I’m definitely going to try other things from their menu, the staff were very polite and they were very quick with my order.

Very good food. With that said, their service lags and the price is on the expensive side. Definitely try their huevos rancheros and chilaquiles

Not much for skin on my chicken. I also asked for a chicken taco and they just took the meet from the drumstick and put it in a tortilla! Won’t b returning!

I really enjoy their menudo, and while the handmade tortillas could be a bit thinner, I still find them tasty. However, the staff and customer service leave much to be desired. There’s no greeting when you arrive, and some employees seem to lack basic people skills. I’ve noticed that drinks can be forgotten, and it feels like they tend to ignore customers unless they are familiar faces, which gives off a vibe of favoritism. The overall lack of charisma among the staff is surprising, especially given the potential for improvement. It would be great if upper management focused on training the staff to be more professional and courteous, as this could significantly enhance the overall experience.

I went with family to have breakfast, usually they serve it with rice I told them bring it with fries instead, the waitress said I t’s going to be extra charge I said ok, I finish eating left and just realized the waitress never brought me the fries and charged for it, she also charged extra for tortillas, Pozole doesn’t come with tortillas.
Lousy service not going back in a long time or never!

It’s a cute place, the food was okay, they do have fresh tortillas. The staff was rude to our party but was also unfortunately rude to the party next to us. We were surprised because we had heard good things about this place and were disappointed. The waitress kept talking to the table next to us complaining whether we were going to leave a tip or not. Take in mind the food took 45 to come out. We understand it was a crowded day but they never came to tell us it was going to take that long even half way. And the food was still lukewarm when it came out.
