Reviews
The food we ordered was ok. Small portions and high prices.
They clearly do a lot of take-out. It’s like a revolving door for door-dash and others. But the in-person experience is not worth it.
The great and the good.
The spring rolls, many are calling them “fresh rolls (as opposed to deep fried)” or in this case “Summer Rolls” were excellent. The rolls of good size and amply shrimped (I didn’t know “shrimped” was an actual word but the phone’s autocorrect thinks it is). Could have used some/additional cilantro. But that’s personal preference.
The dipping sauce was just about perfect. They called it “plumb sauce”. It was very close to the peanut sauce I forever seek (no fish sauce in it). Just a little fruity (probably more to the nose than the tongue). For my taste, it needed a little/little more pepper, a little bite. But definitely complimented the Summer Rolls and together they were the highlight of the meal.
I had the pad Thai at a “3” (of 5) was ordered on the heat level (and, you know all reviews are just opinions) they nailed it. Your milage may vary, however I thought it was perfection in selection. Yes, a perfect spice yet not punishing. The pad Thai noodles could use a smig of improvement. While still worth a 5⭐, they were, to my taste, a little too soft. I wouldn’t say over done, they just lost tensile strength and the fork-twirl wasn’t a thing. Could be a one-off. Tasted good, spiced right, just a little soft.
Service was certainly very prompt, friendly and professional.
Reviews are intended to be critiques to a degree but I did take a star from atmosphere. It’s a nice strip mall eatery and I said clean. But, here’s the but. The music was, I’d say was a sort of young, easy listening, mix with a tinge of urban. It could be a mix, stream or service but one song that played had a phrase in it that I would have vetted. It could happen to anyone if they stream and I have certainly heard worse. Not a huge deal, maybe even a freak happening – just a lyric. It won’t keep me from going back, it’s just background music.
It’s pretty good. I have eaten here before. It was good then too. It’s a can’t really go wrong Thai style restaurant.
