SW LA’s own Villa Harlequin is doing it right. All of it. And they’ve got awards to prove it. Everything is delicious and with a huge menu there’s something for everyone … steak, fish, chicken, burgers, po’ boys. But antipasto, pasta, salads, drinks and dessert are where they shine. The pasta Alfredo is on the lunch menu, but if you ask you can get it at night. It’s mind blowing, simply the best I’ve ever had. I don’t what they do to it, but I’m glad they do it. I’m addicted to the steakhouse classic wedge salad. Their own dressing, so delicious I could eat it with a spoon. They started out as a steak house, so they know how to do it right. The drinks and wine lists are long and inventive, the bar is packed on weekends. For good reason. Service is stellar, with a very knowledgeable and attentive owner and staff. The atmosphere is what you make of it. Cozy candlelight corners perfect for date night or in the middle of all the action. There’s even a space for groups. Dessert is a treat. Save room. All made in house. Their star attraction is bread pudding, which I generally don’t like. This, I love it’s a mix of bananas foster & bread pudding. And it’s a marriage made in heaven. Last night I had brown sugar cheesecake with pecan pie sauce. Amazing. Check it out y’all, you’ll see what I mean. Tucked away in downtown Lake Charles. It’s a sweet surprise, very worth finding. I promise.

Went for lunch today and started with the lasagna fries. They were fantastic. I got the savory bread pudding for my entree. It was incredible. Rich, but just right. It was enough that I ate half and saved half for dinner. Following that was the tiramisu. Phenomenal. The server was probably the best and most attentive that I’ve ever had.

Stromboli was off the chain full of flavor and filling. Sauce was flavorful and the bread was out of this world. You won’t find a single thing on this menu that won’t delight your tastebuds. This place is clean and the staff is refreshing!

Our server Gary was extremely knowledgeable regarding the menu. Gary made us feel welcome from the beginning.
First we started and enjoyed the Villa meatballs. Next the tomato bisque that accompanied my entrée was served, and I thoroughly enjoyed the bisque. The seafood gnocchi was fantastic; I will definitely be back for it again. I finished the meal off with a delicious bread pudding. Choosing to eat at the Villa Harlequin was a wonderful decision.

My husband and I found them online and liked what we saw on their menu and decided to try! So glad that we did, it was perfect from start to finish! Stop by if you’re in the area!!!! I’m definitely coming back to visit! We had the duck meatballs, wedge salad, tomato crab house soup, antipasto. Arancini appetizers were absolutely wonderful!

Our group of seven visited on a Sunday at noon, and the menu was limited to brunch only. The Villa Scramble was delicious and very fragrant – definitely a highlight. The Arancini was also excellent – crispy on the outside and flavorful inside. The Chicken & Waffle, however, was a bit underwhelming. The kids’ menu was okay, nothing particularly special. But overall, the service was very good, which made the experience much more enjoyable.

I ordered the lasagna, mushroom Alfredo with chicken, and a chocolate bunt cake. I placed a to go order, so I can not review the atmosphere or full service. The gentleman who handed me my order was nice, and had my order available when I arrived. The restaurant seemed cozy and clean from what I could see. The lasagna came with a side salad and bread. The serving of both lasagna and salad was what most restaurants serve as a child’s plate. It did taste good, but was thin and such a small amount for the price. The alfredo also tasted good, but the sauce was so thick it was like eating glue, and the chicken was too salty for me. I could not finish it and ended up discarding most of it. The chocolate bunt cake was so tiny and dry. The caramel sauce that it came with and the coffee ice cream were pretty good, but it still couldn’t help how dry the actual cake was. I try to be understanding with restaurants because we all have off days. However, this restaurant just had so many issues overall I will not be recommending or trying this place again. The reviews for in restaurant and to go orders are all so great, I’m not sure what happened for our order.

Their food is too good to be true! Such a great environment and super cozy. The service was impeccable and servers were very nice. I had the eggs and steak with the crawfish soup on the side, that was the best food I have had in my lifetime. I also had the bread pudding, there are no words to describe the cold ice cream on the outside and the warm pudding on the inside. The best restaurant in Lake Charles, the spirit and love everyone has there is so nice, they clearly love to work there. Can’t wait to come back!

This place is really good! Can’t believe I’ve been eating all around here for several years and have not made it here yet! Had a business lunch and it was not crowded. Caesar salad was excellent. Italian sandwich was just the right size and very tasty. Server was super friendly and nobody had an empty drink. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Highly recommend!
