K&L Asian Restaurant in Bowling Green, Kentucky is quietly remarkable. Set in a modest plaza, it offers a menu rooted in authentic Southeast and Central Asian cuisine, with dishes that reveal both technical care and cultural grounding. This isn’t Americanized filler—it’s food prepared by people who know what it’s supposed to taste like.

The soup dumplings arrive large, heavy with broth, skins stretched to the edge without bursting. Each one delivers a rich mouthful, perfectly sealed. The crab rangoon are hand-rolled, and it shows. No factory-cut uniformity—just delicate folds, a crisp finish, and warm filling with actual depth.

But it’s the drunken noodles that stand out. Asked for a spice level of 5—not knowing what that meant—I braced myself. What came out hit the mark: warm, flavorful heat without the creeping regret. Plenty of fire, but none of the gut-wrecking aftermath. For anyone who loves spice but doesn’t need a war wound, it’s the right lane.

The service is warm and quick, with staff who treat you like a regular even if it’s your first visit. Looking around at the clientele—locals, families, and what appear to be Southeast Asian transplants—it’s clear this place isn’t pandering. It’s cooking what it knows, and doing it well. K&L is unassuming from the outside, but it’s a quiet anchor for honest, powerful food.

Craving a bowl of pho, I googled and found this restaurant in Bowling Green. We ordered spring rolls and summer rolls for the appetizer, and pork fried rice and special pho for the main course. I must say that the mains were excellent.

The pho broth was hot with lively flavors, but the fried rice was on another level. It wasn’t oily, and each grain of rice was well separated with a firm texture—must have used cold rice (excellent)!

The restaurant’s decor was a bit run-down, but the service and the food were good enough to warrant a return visit.

Omg. I love the fresh rolls! Chicken and tofu is my usual protein of choice. Everyone is always so kind and attentive.

Disappointing. I went in and ordered take out for my daughters and I. She didn’t repeat the order to me or give me an itemized receipt. I had to wait 40 minutes for the food and when I got home the order was completely wrong. I really wanted to like this place as I love good Vietnamese food .

We ended up here because the first couple Chinese restaurants we wanted to check out were not offering done-in service, and I’m really glad for it. The food was fantastic. Everything tasted wonderful and had a fresh, clean flavor. The fried dumplings were very crispy, they are not pan fried, but deep fried, the filling was delicious though. And the service was good as well. This is my new favorite for Asian cuisine in Bowling Green, I can’t wait to try more dishes.

We ordered a bunch of stuff from this restaurant. Best was the pork fried rice and black pepper beef. The chicken was average. The taro milk tea with boba was not that great. We also ordered steamed wantons which were okay. But the main issue was the quantity of the chicken and beef. They were too less. Also we ordered a chicken Lo Mein which I didn’t like that much either.

Tonight, I decided to venture out of my comfort zone. I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the Fresh Summer Rolls appetizer and the sauce.

My main course was Pho Tai Bo Vien (BEEF NOODLE SOUP). I decided to add a chili paste which was too spicy for me but the Pho was still very good.

My waitress made the suggestion since I told her it was my first time. Good food and service. I look forward to going back!

As this was my first Vietnamese food experience, I can’t comment on how good of an example it is, however we both thought the appetizer and soup we had were very tasty. At first glance their price for “soup” seemed high, but then the GIANT bowls came out along with the beautiful and generous amount of fresh basil, bean sprouts, and a lime wedge to accompany it. The only negative is that, like us you are probably going to have leftover soup to take home, and their to-go cups are tall but narrow, so stand back while you pour it over!

Great service. The Tonkatsu Ramen and Vietnamese coffee was a perfect dinner. Wife’s pho was average as was the shrimp tempura appetizer. Mango Boba great as well.

I was craving sushi and spicy salmon was just perfect! My companion had orange chicken, it was nice and crunchy, with some yummy sweet sauce and well cooked rice. The boba was a hit also, it tasted almost like a milkshake, milky with an icy kick. I’ll be back to try more yummy foods.
