Friendly, clean, and amazing food. My wife got the delicious Chicken Biryani (medium hot). I had the chicken curry (extra extra spicy) with a side of basmati rice and an order of garlic Nann bread. We LOVE hot / spicy food, and I love pretty much any type of curry (Thai, Japanese, Indian) and we stopped in to give it a try. The restaurant has a small dine in area, but it is very busy for takeout. We saw about eight or ten Uber Eats and DoorDash drivers picking up delivery orders. We thought about taking it to go, but decided to eat in, and try it fresh.
When my food arrived, Kumar brought the tray to our table and I was pleasantly surprised by the food portion sizes. I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to curry (I don’t like any restaurants that use any pre-made mixes), but this restaurant makes everything fresh and home made and authentic Indian cuisine, you can taste the flavors and difference, it may very well be absolute BEST curry that I have ever eaten.
I have had some amazing Thai and very good Indian food, but Thumka Indian Express was the absolute BEST Indian curry that I have ever eaten! The chicken was tender, and the sauce was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of heat. The chicken curry sauce was definitely made from scratch, (not from a can or box) and you can taste the flavor and LOVE that chef Mahindre put into making this food.
The curry sauce (extra extra spicy) kept me sweating and I couldn’t stop eating! I tried the Chicken Biryani (Medium spicy) and I loved the first three bites and I told my wife that we are definitely coming back here at least once a week and I am definitely getting the Chicken Biryani and Chicken curry again. But when I took a piece of the delicious garlic Naan bread, it was nice and warm, also fresh and fluffy – absolutely perfect for sopping up every last bit of sauce.
What really made the experience special, though, was the incredible service. Kumar was so kind and patient. So incredibly helpful, answering all of my questions and making me feel right at home.
Another nice touch was their incredible selection of drinks, and I saw that they had 500ml Coke bottles (imported from another country) and they were similar to the ones in Mexico that are made with real cane sugar (instead of chemicals like American Coke). I bought one to enjoy the taste with my delicious food. It’s clear they take pride in their food and their customers. I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!
This restaurant will become one of our weekly rotation favorites and we’ll be back at least once a week. The food is so incredibly good, and the staff are amazing. After I paid for my lunch, Kumar came back to my table with some warm Gulab Jamun (stuffed milk powder cream balls) dipped in a delicious caramel sauce, and it was AMAZING! I can’t say enough good things about the food, friendly staff and amazing service. We will definitely be back again. If I could get this place a perfect rating, out of a MAXIMUM of five stars, they deserve a ten! They knocked it out of the park and it was such a wonderful experience.

From the moment I stepped into Thumka Indian Express, I was greeted with warm smiles and the aroma of delicious spices. The menu had a great selection of classic Indian dishes, and it was hard to choose! I finally decided on the chicken tikka masala, and it was absolutely incredible. I ordered the chicken biryani with garlic naan, which was incredibly delicious! Every bite was bursting with flavor, making it hard to stop even as I started to get full. The food is homemade, and the portions are huge—one entree easily makes at least two meals. I highly recommend it; you won’t be disappointed

I’m so hungry, I went to a tattoo shop, which took me an hours. So, I ordered food from this restaurant. The food isn’t fresh at all, and it has the worst fragrance , plus there aren’t any napkins or chutneys. I asked a few of my friends to try it, and they didn’t even touch it. Instantly greeted with a warm, friendly smile. Was recommended a couple things as I wanted to try something other than butter chicken. The cuts of meat were generous, flavorful and very fresh. So happy to have found a place close by that is authentic and priced well for the portions you’re receiving. The butter naan was amazing. Will be back again and again

Love ordering from Thumkas. Started off ordering for online indian takeout after moving to the area to try to find a good Indian food spot. Especially for when I’m craving home flavors, I wasn’t finding anything I clicked with until Thumkas. I’ve ordered a number of times for just my family and a few catering orders. Everyone always loves the food.
Most of the dishes are great. Vindaloo, butter chicken, biryani, chicken tikka never fail to disappoint. The samosas are always a hit. And naan is great. There’s a few dishes that aren’t my cup of tea or how I would make them at home so I don’t order them often. But for when I don’t want to cook and really need to fix a craving, Thumkas is one of my go-to’s.
The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good. I think most people order to go, but it’s nice when I pop in to order in-person and see a few people eating at the restaurant.

I tried their butter chicken and garlic naan and it was absolutely amazing! The chicken had such rich, delicious flavor, and the naan was perfect. I honestly regret not ordering more. I also had the chance to meet both owners, and they were super friendly and extremely welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu!

Ordered butter chicken and not sure what I got. I’ll call it a mild tomato based chicken dish. Chicken was over cooked, sauce was not savory , tangy , or sweet. Again not sure what I received.
Rice was good. Short grain if that matters.
Garlic naan was thinker than most naan I’ve had but bad.

We had the Aloo Tikki Chaat as an appetizer, the Paneer Tikka Masala and Coconut Lamb Curry with rice and garlic naan. The Lamb Curry was outstanding!
