My family has been coming here since the 90’s!
We moved away years ago and still drive over an hour every few weeks to eat here. The food is delicious, the taco shells are homemade, the salsa is so good, the chips are nice and crispy and the margaritas are the best I’ve ever had! The Avina family really treat you like you’re family and are great, kind people. This is hands down the best Mexican resturant!!

I have been going to Los Avina since the 1990’s. Celebrating birthdays and family gatherings. They are by far the best Mexican restaurant around. I moved away about 3 years ago but I still drive an hour each way to eat there. And they have the best margaritas too! It’s a family owned and operated restaurant and they are always so friendly, and the service is great.

We have been going to Los Avina for years. This is our favorite mexican spot. We drive from Atlanta to enjoy this place. Every time my brother and his family roll through town this is our place to go meet for dinner. They love it too! Outstanding food. Outstanding service. We notice that when patrons come in they are treated like family and everyone knows each other. Definitely should check it out!

NOBODY, I mean NOBODY can compete with their salsa! It has been and still is the best around!! The food is top notch and NEVER disappoints! I could go on and on about several dishes but my most favorites are the Chimichnagas, Liliana’s Special and the Chicken Fajita Quesadillas! As you can tell, WE LOVE THIS PLACE!

Returning customer:) This place is like hidden jem around McDonough: always a great experience here. I recommend Molcajete Special. Served in a cast iron dish that keeps it warm as you eat. Enough for two people. There are other Mexican restaurants around, but Los Aviña is the best one! Amazing food quality for price lower than in other places.

If you are looking for a date night or adult night out I wouldn’t recommend. The alcoholic drinks are disgusting, I had the server make two different ones and it was still nasty. The food doesn’t give authentic Mexican food. There we a bunch of kids extremely loud on the karaoke machine and it’s a Saturday night 9:15 pm currently. Definitely a spot for families with younger kids, definitely won’t be back. Food not worth the price.

Los Avina is a great place for authentic Mexican food. We’ve been eating here as a family for more than 25 years. It’s our family go to spot for both celebrations and just good eats. Salsa is always good & the food is really awesome. Each member of my family has a favorite….Burrito Tipico, EL Pasano, Chile Rellanos – the list goes on. Family run business so the service is great – they treat you like a family member.

My husband and I have been coming here since we moved to Henry County back in 2006. We tried every Mexican place in the area, and honestly, they were all so bad! Then we found this spot and little did we know we’d be here every Friday night for almost 20 years! Thanks to this restaurant, we’ve made so many friends with other regulars, and we absolutely love the family atmosphere.
