Excellent carbohydrates after a day of hiking. Tried the butternut squash ravioli and rotini both flavorful and fresh. Artichoke bruschetta was delicious. Tiramisu and gelato great final touches to our dinner.

Very disappointing experience. The pasta sauce was overly sour, almost unpleasant to eat, and didn’t taste balanced at all. The vegetables on the pizza were not fresh, which really ruined the flavor. For an Italian restaurant, I expected much better quality. Sadly, nothing about the meal made me want to come back.
The atmosphere was good though. We were sat next to window. Good spacing between tables.

We ordered many dishes. All but one came in a reasonable amount of time. However one dish we never actually received. Every five or ten minutes, our server would tell us that this last dish would be out in 3 minutes but it never came. She told us that 3 or 4 times. We finished all the other food and were waiting about ten more minutes when we finally gave up. The restaurant said that they would not charge us for it — I certainly hope not since we never got it. They would have given it to us for free if I had waited for it to come out but it was getting late and it was not clear if it was ever going to come out. We had waited about an hour for a simple chicken dish. Since we left without a dish we had ordered and had waited extra time for it to show up, I believe the proper action for the restaurant would have been to comp our entire meal. But they did not do that. In any case, the food is excellent but it does not seem that they know how to properly handle it when they make a mistake. We will not be going again.

Such a classic spot, MUST GO to when staying in or just exploring Snowmass Village !! Great service and very accommodating to our party. Vodka pasta is our family favorite and the desserts always hit the spot as well

The service can make or break a place. I’ve been coming to this place for almost 12 years, always excellent. I’m not sure if we looked like we weren’t going to spend a lot, but we were not paid as much attention to as other tables were. There were lots of conversations by our server at other tables but our drink was forgotten, we could not flag her down because she would not look our way, and to top it all off I’ve never been disrespected by being shown the tip recommendations at the bottom of the receipt. Mollie ruined this experience for us. There are a lot of options, we won’t be back.

Average food, nothing bad about it but nothing amazing. Duck breast was juicy but the sweet dough balls was a weird combo. Small portions for the price. ($40 per dish plus 20% recommended gratuity) Also tried a couple other dishes there and nothing too memerable. Okay place if you have a pasta craving but wouldnt come out of my way to come here. Service was good but it took an hour for the food to come out

We had a large business dinner party for 40 people. The staff was accommodating and very responsive even as our party grew from 25 to 40 over the last couple of days before the reservation. Once we arrived the food, drinks, and service were all excellent. I would recommend II Poggio to anyone in our around Snowmass

Highly recommend – a must when staying in Snowmass. Great little Italian place, with warm atmosphere (pizza oven), and fantastic food. Make reservations well in advance, although they have bar seating and same menu. First – order the bread. Ask for extra Foccacia. It’s amazing. Highly recommend the mushroom or prosciutto pizzas, ahi tuna, or burrata appetizers. For pasta, try the veal and gnocchi or cacio e Pepe. Both delicious. Lots of dessert options too. Love this place after a full day of skiing.

Had a very disapointing experience here the other night here.
To start off, it took 30 minutes after we sat down to get a couple glasses of wine and water for our table. The whole time our waiter was ignoring us and not delivering on simple request. When we asked for some bread they said they were out of complimentary bread and if we wanted some we would have to pay for it.
Then after an hour we finally received our pizza’s for appetizers which were greasy and burnt. Quite disappointing.
Then we proceeded to wait another hour for our main entree’s and during the time we asked our waiter if the food was close since we had been there for over 2 hours and had only received a few slices of pizza and she was extremely rude to us.
After about 2 hours and 15 minutes we got our main entree’s and most of them were cold and mediocre. Then the manager came to our table and told us that we were out of line for thinking that our food was taking too long and proceeded to lecture us on the time we sat down, ordered, and received our food. Just completely unprofessional and immature.
And to cap off our terrible night. The staff mocked us as we walked out.
Just a terrible staff and completely disappointed in our experience.
