Tony’s Bar & Grill: A Glorious Burger Glow-Up in Center City
I’ve been going to this spot since it was Al’s Saloon as far back as in 2013, so believe me when I say,I came in with high expectations and a heart full of burger memories.
And let me tell you… Tony’s didn’t just meet the bar, they grilled it to perfection and served it up hotter and better than I remember. This place is a full-blown upgrade in all the right ways…fresh look, friendly vibe, and the food? Just as good if not better.
My husband went with the Western Burger, and I dove into the Garbage Burger like it was a spiritual experience. And the shoestring fries? Still crispy, salty, golden magic. You know the kind..worth stealing off someone else’s plate (but don’t, get your own).
I’m genuinely grateful they didn’t mess with what worked, they just made it better. If you’re anywhere near Center City, Minnesota, this is a must-try stop. Burgers, beer, and bar vibes that hit just right. Not to mention the sunsets on this lake are just magical, and the moon even made an appearance. ✨️

Both the food and service were great! Food came out really fast even though they were moderately busy. BLT was enjoyed by the ladies. Fries were quite good. Sweet potato fries were even better which can be hit or miss with some restaurants. Got the hotty burger and they even ask what level of heat between 1-5. Got mine at a 4 and it was perfect. Atmosphere is really nice and dog friendly as well. Will definitely be back if we’re in the area!

Wow!!! I ordered a Bloody Mary, just expecting a regular cocktail…imagine my surprise!!! This Bloody was crazy and that Sausage Muffin was amazing. I don’t even LIKE them and it was delectable. Great service, too!

Melissa was wonderful! We stopped in because reviews said its dog friendly, and they were absolutely right. Melissa greeted us as soon as we walked in, took extra care to make sure everything was perfect for us and our two little doggos. The bar itself is quite small, but the service was wonderful and the food was amazing. 10/10 will come back again and will bring the pups too

They had a pretty busy lunch rush so we waited a bit for our food, but it was worth it.

My friends and I love this place! Best burgers! They have over 50 tequilas and amazing scotch/whiskeys (per my bougie friends ) and are right next to the lake. Can’t wait to stop in this winter while ice fishing!!

Yep, it’s good.
They have enough Tap beer selection to please. The bartender is a cool guy. It’s nice and clean in the kitchen, with a small but good menu. And the kitchen is open late.
The bar features a pool table and pull tabs. Enjoy.

We love Tony’s. The burgers are always amazing and the dog-friendly patio is such a bonus. The staff and regulars make it feel like home, super friendly and fun. Dock parking on the lake makes it the perfect stop after a day on the water. Great spot all around

A group of us ate here in July, most ordered overpriced burgers but I just wanted an order of sweet potato fries it was a ridiculous $6.75 for a scanty portion, maybe 8 small fries. My son ordered a soda and was given a 4inch tall plastic cup of ice. with some soda. What a joke of a place.

Was in Suday 8/10 during the day with a friend. Unless you are the bartenders friend or a regular don’t plan on getting friendly service. I have never been treated so poorly, and then to hear her talk badly about us to other customers. The food was ok, not what an Als burger used to taste like. The atmosphere was not inviting at all. Very disappointed as this used to be a main stop for us in the summer, definitely getting taken off of the list.
