Heard a lot about this operation and decide to stop by for happy. Here’s the catch, the happy hour menu only pertains to a few selections of alcoholic beverages, however, all other food menu items are at the regular price for the happy hour, quite interesting.

In addition to this the server, never mentioned his name, and was clearly overwhelmed due to the number of tables that they were servicing.

The server mumbled and talked with his back towards the guest at all times, very potentious, and as a matter of fact, in service style. Could care less and in fact, had 0 compassion as related to service.

Had a glass of white wine from the happy hour menu, yet decided on no food.

The atmosphere and ambience were stellar, however, the service and the happy hour menu was not what was expected.

We stayed at the Sophy Hotel and had always thought Mesler looked inviting. The atmosphere is lovely, but the experience was disappointing. For a restaurant of this caliber, we only saw our server twice before receiving the check.

We ordered two drinks, two appetizers, and two entrees. The drinks were excellent and arrived quickly, but the appetizers (soup and calamari) took nearly 25 minutes and were served with one of the entrees. The soup had developed a film, and the calamari was cold. Every dish from the kitchen was brought by someone other than our server, and the second entree arrived more than five minutes later. When the server finally returned, we asked for water and were given a bottle to pour ourselves.

We also noticed a staff member with long hair combing it in the service area, which was concerning.

The food was very good and could have been excellent if served properly. The manager was gracious and understanding, but overall, the service issues prevent me from recommending this restaurant.

Mesler Kitchen Bar Lounge is a beautiful space tucked inside a nice hotel in Hyde Park. We stopped by for breakfast and the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful which was perfect to start the day. The food did not disappoint: the pancakes were flavorful, the cheese eggs were tasty and the burger was really nice. Overall is a was a nice solid brunch and one i would have again.

The space itself has a cozy and welcoming vibe and I really enjoyed the experience. Service was good as well. Our server was attentive, accommodating, and made sure we had everything we needed. Mesler is definitely going on my list of go to spots for both great vibes and good food! I will be back to try other things off the menu.

I got a burger to go ‘well done’! The inside of the burger is completely raw pink and not edible at all, I’m pissed. Reasons why burgers should never be cooked this way are attached, in case you want to inform your staff

Been here plenty of times. Atmosphere is great. The service is sincere but lacking precision (e.g., forgotten parts of order, lackluster timing, wait times). Auto gratuity of 18% is unfortunate as it isn’t mentioned by the server. There is a line for “additional gratuity” which one might miss unless reading carefully. As one who typically tips around 25%, this feels a bit sketchy and I end up not tipping anymore. Food (brunch) is average but differs based on the order. Cobb salad is for $22 is quite ordinary (Denny’s quality, sadly). I love the hotel, location, vibe, and demographics. However, the food/service always leaves me a bit disappointed.

I recently visited Mesler Kitchen Bar Lounge during their off-peak hours, specifically between 2-4 PM, to avoid interrupting any busy tables. Upon arrival, I was told I could wait at the bar for the bartender. Despite making eye contact with the bartender several times, they chose to engage in a lengthy conversation with a coworker, laughing for about 10-15 minutes while ignoring me. Frustrated, I returned to the hostess to request a seat and waited another 15 minutes before a server finally approached me.

I ordered a kiwi pineapple margarita and settled in. I remained seated for about an hour and a half without any further attention from the staff. Although I had finished my drink and packed my belongings, my server continued to ignore me in favor of other guests nearby, who were also just having drinks. The level of disregard was baffling, as it was not even a busy lunch time, just lounge hours.

In the end, I had to flag down a different server who had not even started their shift to handle my bill. While the drink itself tasted great, the customer service was appalling. I felt extremely unwelcome and disrespected, which is disheartening given my frequent patronage at Woodlawn Tap where I typically spend around $60 three times a week on food and drinks.

I usually visit restaurants when they are less busy in hopes of receiving better service, but I will certainly avoid Mesler Kitchen Bar Lounge during busy times if this is their standard of service. It’s a shame, as I had high hopes for this place, but I won’t be returning.

Fancy hotel bar in Hyde park. Very classy. Drinks are a little expensive but they are mixed really well. Definitely a high class joint that you would hang out with good friends or to go out on a date. The chicken salad was decent. The chicken is juicy and tender. The salad itself isn’t bad but not superb as I have tried at other fine dining places. But overall it was a nice experience. I give it 5 stars.⭐️

Mesler Kitchen offers more than a chic sophisticated ambience, the menu has the perfect variety of entrée options. Don’t skip on the cocktails like we did, live a little. We ordered the shrimp and grits, lobster roll and chicken with waffles. The weather was perfect so we opted for outdoor dining. Our waitress Lisa was attentive, provided great insight about our selections and made the experience enjoyable. The staff were also very upfront about the bees that would also be joining us while we dined. I guess they also know how sweet it can be to find a great spot to dine. The meal with no cocktails for a party of three was about $60. The lobster roll was the highlight of all three, the chicken that accompanied the waffles was flavorful and juicy, sometimes breast meat can dry out but they did it justice. The waffles were too sweet for my liking so don’t add syrup, add very little or skip it altogether. Overall, we enjoyed dining at the Mesler.
