Do not miss this bar! Absolutely gorgeous interior, part of a few places occupying the old Gamble mill. The bartender, Jennifer, was amazing. She is a true cocktail expert! She was warm and welcoming; had amazing suggestions to curate drinks especially to our likes. Not only did we have wonderful drinks, the ambience was off the charts. The space is the epitome of cozy, classy, and cool. The drinks are always spectacular – wine that’s fresh, delicious beer, and thoughtful and unique cocktails. Superb! Enjoyed a family birthday celebration and had the BEST time staying at “The Gamble Mill” including the use of the private “Speakeasy” room. So classy!!! The decor of the whole place is beautiful, modern yet cozy while feeling a presence of history – really cool! The bedroom suites are spacious and provide detailed amenities- they thought of every little thing; the bed was super comfy and the sheets/blankets so soft and lush.
“The Republic” bar served a variety of delicious signature cocktails – I especially enjoyed the “Anne Marie” and the “Perfect Martini” So refreshing and served in pretty glasses! The service was so friendly, attentive and timely. I love the atmosphere of this bar! Definitely a place to visit or go regularly if you live nearby!

The Republic is just downright AWESOME!!! The staff is phenomenal and the drinks were spectacular!!! They supplied the beer and wine in The Speakeasy for my wedding and we were so pleased!!! Megan and Cody Jones, the owners, are amazing individuals and you will not leave here disappointed. My husband and I will be coming back for years to come.

We live in Altoona, and a trip to the Republic is ALWAYS worth it. I think I’ve tried every single one of their cocktails and have loved them all. Their wine selection is also fantastic! (I’m not a beer drinker, but I’m sure the same is true of their beer selection) The staff is attentive and charming and the vibe is cool and chic. One of our favorite spots!
