This Starbucks store ticked all the boxes.
1) Excellent and quick customer service. I ordered in store and my order was delivered with no delays.
2) Restroom was neat and clean.
3) Plenty of parking available. Easy access to this store on Hwy 30.
4) Store was clean with ample seating options.
5) Barista/Cashier was friendly and answered my questions with patience.
6) Drive Through is available (but I did not use it)

My husband and I had just finished a fantastic snorkel boat trip with the Calypso crew and were in need of a refreshing hydration treat. We decided to stop by Starbucks and try something new, the Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai, and absolutely loved it! The drink was perfectly made and hit the spot after our amazing adventure!
The store itself was very clean and well-organized, which made the experience even better. Our barista, Jarred, was incredibly friendly, and the service was efficient.
I also have to commend the cleanliness of the bathroom facilities, this location stood out compared to many Starbucks I’ve visited across England, Canada, and across America, where cleanliness and stock levels can be inconsistent.
Overall, it was a wonderful stop.

Expert Cleaning
Staff is NOT Cheerful. This location should just be run by robots. Website opening time 4.30 am- door not open until 5am. Hookele has the friendliest and most helpful staff.

Maalaea Starbucks staff you were fantastic today. Maui had a serious outage and yours appeared to be the nearest thought of coffee shop that everyone drew to. You all had smiles, thanked everyone for their orders. I especially appreciated the young lady making the coffees inside who kept mentioning whose order she was finishing and whose she was working on next. 21000+ peeps without power and the staff stayed considerate even to those clients who clearly knew this was an unusual circumstance but felt the need to tell staff that they’d been waiting. Thank you to you all!!

The barista actually started yelling at me that I shouldn’t have made two orders. The first one being my real order. But then my son wanted a cake pop and so I paid for that separately. After waiting 30 mins., I finally asked if my cake pop would be ready soon because I’ve been waiting 30 mins since placing the order: that’s when she yelled at me that it’s my fault I made 2 orders and that now I’m rude because I wanted to skip the line and get my order before anyone else. This was not the case because after I ordered my cake pop, 2 other large groups came in and ordered in person. Both of those groups got their food out while I was simply waiting on a cake pop that had to be ahead of those giant orders because I ordered first. It’s really sad because this is the first time since I’ve been in Hawaii that I’ve encountered any business that was hostile and unwelcoming.
To add, I would say their facilities are nice, and there’s lots of space and the food was great. Just really disheartened by the customer service.

I stopped to get a breakfast sandwich & drink for the beach. The gentleman making sandwiches isn’t wearing a beard net? That’s gross & wrong!!!!!
But what is worse…..how I was treated when I asked if my small iced coffee was forgotten, 10 minutes from when I ordered it. A man turned around behind the counter and said in a peeved tone, “ he is behind” & the staff ( including 2 women & the 2 men) laughed & smiled.
Five fancy coffee drinks came out to customers who came in after me (including an espresso and cappuccino) who all received their drinks b4 I did. No customer service, no apologizes & no thanks for waiting. It’s pretty evident the negative attitude towards customers is acceptable by the employees.
