Food was Excellent. Weekend nights it gets VERY busy so expect a wait to seat and thus it impacts service speed too. But it’s worth it. Server was kind, just over-tasked. Molcajete did not disappoint, nor did the Hibiscus Margaritas.

A gem of a restaurant. I have eaten Mexican food all over America and three cities in Mexico. This place has it all the way right. The tableside guacamole was great. The salsa was some of the best I have ever had. The birria tacos were chefs kiss. The beans and rice were delicious. The chips were perfect; fresh, the right consistency, and not at all greasy. My waitress was a doll; her name was Vanessa. The service was exceptionally excellent and added to my overall dining experience. Do yourself a flavor and get on in there!

El Agave is a great spot for authentic food with generous portions that really fill you up. The flavors were fresh and satisfying, and the service stood out — our waiter was very patient and attentive, even with our whole family dining together. For the price and quality, this is one of the better choices in Fargo. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for hearty, authentic dishes.

This place was fantastic! I was looking for an authentic mexican experience in Fargo and came across this place on Google maps. They offer amazing menu items! There was a woman making fresh guacamole tableside! It was some of the best guacamole ive ever had! Waitstaff were friendly, personable, and knowlegable about menu items. The chips and salsa was so good! Chips are thin crispy and warm! All around great experience and I will be back!

They have NEVER disappointed me! The flavor is amazing, temperature hot as it’s always fresh, the size of food portion you get is VERY filling and the staff when I’ve dined in the restaurant, is tentative and extremely friendly. Will order and dine in again!! (Try the Enchiladas Vaqueras if you’re unsure what to get!!)

The food at El Agave Mexican Restaurant is very good! My wife and I have been here multiple times and always enjoy it. Prices are also very reasonable. The Agave Burrito is one of my favorite dishes and my wife really likes the ChoriPollo. The fresh made guacamole is also great. For those of you that like things extra hot like my wife and I do we highly recommend asking for a side of their habanero sauce!

The food was good. I ordered the steak street tacos and the chips with guacamole. The service was excellent. Our waiter was probably the best I’ve ever had. Props to him. I wish I would have gotten his name. He made the experience great. Our food took longer than it should have to come out and there were a few mix ups. Not his fault at all, but he made sure to check up on us frequently and you could definitely tell he was working extremely hard and with a positive attitude. He handled the stress well.
