I came to sit and journal, so I would have been happy to clear out of the busy entry way and wait for my name to be called, but with that functional issue I thought it better to leave my bag at my preferred spot and hover by the counter with the to go drinkers.
Thumbs up for the pastries and seasonal coffee menu.
Even though board games drew me in the first time, I will certainly be back for the grinds (aka food). The “farm-to-table” ingredients are every bit as tasty as you’d hope. The sandwiches and breakfast items we ate were masterfully prepared, and the ones in the case that we haven’t yet tried look just as delicious. Finally, the prices were perfectly reasonable.
This morning’s stop was Urban Prairie Coffee, and right at 7:00 AM the place was buzzing with energy as people lined up for specialty drinks and an impressive spread of pastries—including their own spin on Pop-Tarts. I stuck with my go-to dark roast (with a splash of half & half) and wasn’t disappointed.
One of the best surprises? Urban Prairie is connected to a board game shop, which instantly earned it a spot on my “return visit” list—next time I’ll be bringing the family to dive into both the coffee and the games.
All in all, it’s a unique and cozy spot that blends great coffee, fun treats, and a welcoming vibe—exactly the kind of place this Camaro & Coffee journey is all about.
They have plenty of tables inside with two adjoining rooms for larger gatherings and outdoor seating for people watching as they shop the strip. Definitely would come back.
The only drawback was with the employees working, They seemed like zombies. We were not greeted with a hello when we walked in, no smiles, no eye contact, nothing. When the barista took our order that was it. I can understand one, but all of them….weird.
had a weird taste to it. They didn’t ask for my name when taking my order and my coffee was sitting there for a few mins. I try all the local coffee shops in Kansas and Missouri and this has been one of the worst.. wouldn’t recommend or go back…
