We tried Chef J’s again because we saw that they had a grand reopening and had changed to a Dim Sum and Hot Pot restaurant. We were excited to try the menu because we’ve always wanted to try the dumplings and boa buns but never could decide on what to commit. This change allowed us to sample a lot of things we wouldn’t normally get and the staff was very attentive. It’s a little confusing, but essentially the menu shows a lunch price and a dinner price but you can do a the All You Can Eat, or you can order separately, as well as specialties or chefs entrees (which specialties and chefs entrees are not included in AYCE). But there were so many options to try, and that was a lot of fun to do as a family.

If you want to do hot pot, just make sure to mention that up front as they will seat you in a different are to enjoy that. If you’ve been here before, we recommend you give it another go for this different dining experience for lunch or dinner.

We opted out of cooking on Xmas and decided to have Chinese and go to the movies. I was a little disappointed that they weren’t doing dim sum but understood that there was a limited menu on the holiday. We had steamed dumplings, lo mein, fried rice, happy family, orange chicken, and generals chicken. The food came out quickly and it was delicious! The staff were friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back to try the dim sum menu!

Parking lot was empty when we showed up, front of the restaurant smelled like sewage. The kimchi fried rice was good, the soy sauce noodles were sweet. Kung pao tofu was okay, scallion pancakes are good. Har gow needed more filling, steam rice noodles with BBQ pork were over cooked so it was just mush. Shu mai was okay, BBQ pork baos also could use some more filling. Service was great though we had to repeat ourselves a few times because our waitress had her airpod in. This was a one and done for us.

The broth was fiery and flavorful topping it off with the numbing pepper corns, made it perfectly balanced, leaving that signature tingle. Ingredients were top notch, clearly fresh and high quality. From the melt in your mouth beef to the crisp vegetables, everything was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. If you’re craving authentic, flavorful Sichuan Hot Pot with a nice warming atmosphere look no further than Chef J’s Bistro.

Authentic Chinese family owned restaurant. Chef J and his staff were warm and friendly his menu features classic Asian Cuisine and Dim Sum. We tried a couple of lunch specials, and my wife had shrimp and vegetables while I enjoyed Chef J’s special chicken. Everything was delicious with fresh ingredients. They had very tasty egg drop soup, and lunch specials are served till 3 pm. It is located in the McCormack Ranch area on Via Linda please support them.

Delicious, well spiced Chinese dim sum as well as a traditional menu. Lunch specials include egg roll, soup and fried rice. Especially good were the Cheese Rangoon and Hot and Sour soup and Steamed Pork buns.

Maybe we are spoiled. But this is not even a good American Chinese. The fries “spicy” orange chicken and the sweet and sour chicken shared the very old oil scent. Celery everywhere. Just not tasty. Fried rice was just some old brown rice with no flavor. Service was excellent

Busy place in Arizona- I think we stumbled upon a local beloved gem. We ordered take out for dinner and had to wait an additional 15 minutes after they told us 30 minutes. Not upset given how many orders they had, especially DoorDash. There is seating inside too. We ordered 3 main dishes and a side to share for 5 people and it was perfect portions. The food tasted great and we enjoyed their take on the orange chicken, more crispy and light compared to Panda Express. We got the happy meal as well and it was well sauced. The beef chow fun was a hit with the soft and tender beef. It was also packed in our container. Our only complain was how small the sticky rice wraps were. Definitely smaller than the average place but it tasted really good- my favorite of the meal. Definitely worth checking out but be prepared to wait longer than usual for services. Happy they’re getting business!

We went to dinner at this place. Wow. Incredible food and super delicious. If you’re local then you already know about this place. It was freshly made. Definitely make sure you have the Barbecue Bulgogi. The other dish is Thai Sweet Chili Garlic Chicken.
