TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

First time at this location. Food was pretty standard compared to the other locations. (forgot to take pictures of the actual food before we ate. Sorry.)

Admittedly, I have nothing to compare to as I’ve never been to any other Dave’s Hot Chicken. Presentation was a little sloppy, but that’s not always a big deal for me; I did takeout – ate in the car so the Loaded Fried were hot and just ‘okay’. Not bad but not something I’d run back for the next day. Chicken is cooked well, but tastes plain without the sauces etc. The frozen Hi-C orange drink was good! In a time when servers/workers are not always happy to be at work, the real highlight for me was the staff. Moses was good at helping me order and L.B. was great at saying “oh we don’t do the salt and pepper thing here! Try this sauce. Try that honey….” Runner up, was the environment. The brightness of the decorations made it great to sit and wait for your meal. I’ll be back to see what else they have offer.

The non- chicken is soo good. And you can dial the spice level up or down as much as you like. Great staff too. Vegetarians can’t always find filling options at fast food joints so I was very pleased when this Dave’s came Homewood

We tried the tenders & cauliflower nuggets. The food was good. The nuggets were crispy & tender. They still had some bite to them. The tenders were thinner than I expected. The food was spicy was smoky, which was good. The sauce provided was good too.

It was clean and upbeat. It seems as if you need to order online because my food took just over 20 minutes. Once it came, it looked good but didn’t taste the seasoning or heat. So possibly hit or miss.

My family and i stopped here on our roadtrip and we loved it! The service was amazing! We were instantly greeted by a smile and positivity, which i feel like can be hard to come by nowadays. The food was also phenomenal and very flavorful!

This was my 1st time eating here. I had a walk in order. The wait for the food wasn’t long maybe 7 minutes. Food was fresh. They offer different levels of heat for your order. Food was felling. Customer service was friendly and helpful.

Takes a while to cook, can be worth it if you like their unique taste. I’ve had Hot and Mild on 2 occasions now from Homewood.
First time was a flop and had a terrible after taste.
Second chance was pretty good like I had in the IN location.
Crew was joyful and nice to be around.
Sadly it messes with my acid reflux so this isn’t something I’ll have again.
