We had a great breakfast at Sunny House! The food was delicious and service even better. A really relaxing spot! My husband had the Golden Brown big breakfast feast and he ate every bite! The veggie omelette was made with fresh vegetables! Very affordable!! Now we need to return to try other dishes. I mentioned the service but one other thing — very personable, friendly and quick but not rushing; Perfect.

Visited here with some friends before an event at the card shop down the street. It seems they’ve gone digital, which caused the waitress some difficulty when entering our orders. The food was excellent; we tried a variety of breakfast dishes. I ordered the stuffed pancakes with strawberries and a side of home fries. I asked for extra onions, but they added more than I expected. The atmosphere felt more like a diner, with no TVs or distractions, just good conversation with your company.

I wanted to say how much I loved our customer experience at Sunny House today! The hospitality was as perfect as was our meals were! From the lovely daughter who took such good care of our every need, to the owner who came out to personally say hello!! Thank you for your kindness and for allowing us to stay way past closing, as we sat and chatted away! My family has always loved your establishments and I can see why! You don’t find many gems like Sunny House these days! Keep up the great work!

I’d love to give more stars, and say that I had a good experience but unfortunately that’s not the case. We went in to have a nice breakfast, but received poor service and poor food quality that costed an arm + leg.

We had ordered a breakfast bowl and a singular pancake. The one pancake was $6 and had multiple long hairs in it.

The other part of the order was another singular pancake for $6, and two eggs over easy. The pancake was raw batter in over half of it, and there were eggshells in both of the eggs. The French toast that was ordered surprisingly had nothing terribly wrong with it, only a few spots were soggy/undercooked.

Service was incredibly slow, we only saw a server to take our drink order, our main order, and to drop it off after an incredibly long wait after placing. (A six top got seated after us, and received their meal first. Then 20 minutes later we received our meal). When the server was told about the issues we had, the $2 eggs were removed off the bill for a $50 total for the meal (not including a tip).

The best service we received was our table busser offering coffee refills, he came by multiple times and was super friendly and attentive!

The food was good enough. I don’t have anything negative to say. My Philly cheesesteak omelet had plenty of meat, but barely any vegetables (peppers, onions, mushrooms). It was ok, but I really would’ve been happier with a little less meat and more veggies. And definitely less salt. My husband had a buffalo chicken sandwich which he liked and I have to say. It looked really good.

Our family eats breakfast/brunch about 1-2x a month. We order omelettes, link sausages, corned beef hash, plain and chocolate chip pancakes, OJ, hot and iced coffee. It’s always delicious. You may get right in to eat or may have to wait for an open table, which is worth it! Homemade goodness in this restaurant and excellent service!

Update 11/9/24:
Today was not good. They seem to be quite stingy with napkins, water, and lemon slices. I had to ask multiple times for the same thing, and even then, it took eons to get it. They got my order wrong after we waited 30 minutes for it. They don’t have maple syrup, just sugar syrup for pancakes and no butter. The lady bussing the tables was checked out. I actually waited to speak to the staff about it; unfortunately, it was a bad idea. I was spoken to negatively and advised that they do not discriminate, even though I had mentioned nothing about the person except that my experience was not good. Anyway, having a conversation about my experience created a worse experience.

Previous review: It’s a nice breakfast spot. They have a sister spot in Enfield called Angelina’s. I prefer this spot, but it closes early.

The corned beef omelet was the best I’ve ever had. Home fries were cut in house and delicious. Our kids’ orders were customized on their plates and we didnt even have to ask. Proud for this family owned and run business – thank you!
