My husband loves their choco calzones, but that is probably it’s one an only real saving grace. The truth is, i we lived closer walking distance to downtown, we would probably never bother with Mike’s. The food is just not worth the consistent bad to below average staff and their service.
As the owner of a local tour business, i speak to hundreds of people a year, and they often ask me the best and worst of local places. I certainly never tell them about Mike’s Pizzeria compared to a number of other places throughout Beverly and Salem.
Highly highly recommend
The staff was very patient as the grands figured out what they wanted to eat and read the contents of the potato chips and beverages as part of their hunt for healthy choices. (This is a family game…that started after Grandpa had a heart attack). The grands thought it was terrific that all the employees were named “Mike” as evidenced by the fact all the uniforms said “Mike”.
Our grandson loved reading the captions on the silenced TV game show.
The food was good and better yet, there is a playground next to Pizza Mike’s. We wondered if we could find out the softball schedule. We would be able to lunch and watch a game out of Pizza Mike’s side window.
There is the BEST Dollar Store in the same little plaza. We bought a few school supplies and B. Is going to ask her Mom to return to shop for her birthday party next week.
B. thought Pizza Mike’s and the playground would be a great place to have a birthday party if next week’s party was not set for
Plum Cove Beach in Lanesville, Gloucester.
Prices are expensive but food is great so may be worth it
My biggest complaint is putting hot food in styrofoam containers… most food service places know that styrofoam coats the hot food and can poison ppl… they apparently don’t care..
$12 for 6 fingers and i hope I don’t die tomorrow…
I just ate these chicken fingers and they definitely are coated with poison..
