La Cabañita in Burr Ridge is an absolute gem. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. A special shoutout to Jose, who was incredibly attentive and made the experience even better with his excellent service. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and a warm, comfortable setting.

Service, especially Jose, is always spectacular! We come here with the kids often after going to Lifetime and the kids live the tacos! They’re usually hungry, so the chips being brought quickly and warm are a hit! Tons of space for large groups too!

I come here semi-often to enjoy my lunch break. It’s usually not too many people in there by 1pm. The customer service is stellar and the margaritas are good too. José typically serves me when I’m there. He’s a top notch server and I tip every time I come here. My favorite entree is the shrimp tacos but the flautas are great too.

First time there, hostess was nice.Was there early afternoon. Nice people, it wasnt too busy, but the server still managed to get my drink wrong, i asked for jamaica and he brought horchata (how do you mess that up? ) got charged for both drinks, smh.
I ordered the ceviche, for two people, it was very tasty and the presentation was on point. We shared the steak fajitas, they brought it on a regular plate, not a hot plate. The atmosphere was nice, another server was more attentive than our own. The dessert , Flan, Was good. Not too sweet.

Downtown experience without the parking pain, overpriced and long waits.
My husband and I normally go downtown for more “fancy” drinks.
Today we decided to try La Cabañita and we are still amazed by the food, the drinks but most importantly the SERVICE! Esteban was wonderful at explaining the menu, Ingredients in the drinks. I mentioned I loved strawberries and we got a Strawberry margarita which is one of the BEST drinks I’ve ever had! I’m definitely going back for more!
Also, the meat was tender, juicy and cooked! I truly enjoyed the food too!
I had a long week and this experience definitely made my week!
I highly suggest you ask for Esteban. He is humble, friendly and very attentive.

In town for a business trip. This is a family owned restaurant with a great relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the Chilean bass topped with a tomato sauce , green peppers, onions , over white cilantro rice (I did not taste the cilantro in the rice), garnished with lettuce, avocado and diced tomatoes. No spice- I like my Mexican food spicy so I asked for their homemade hot sauce( server brought out both versions- a red and green) . Flavors were food

Food was so good we went back again!!! The Shrimp Chimichinga was out of this world. This time I tried all 3 of their margaritas: coconut, pineapple and hibiscus and everything was delicious! We sat outside and our waiter Jose is always nice and friendly. La Cabinita is now my favorite restaurant!
My coworker told me about this place and it is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant now!!!! The tacos was amazing with the handmade corn tortillas and I had to Caldo De Res soup with corn tortillas and it was fantastic! I had the mango margarita and that was yummy as well. My hubby had the 3 tacos dinner with 2 al pastor and 1 shrimp and he said it was very good. We sat outside on this wonderful 70 degrees evening and it was just a wonderful date night. I highly recommend this place for some delicious Mexican food! Prices was reasonable too! Yummmm!

They market $6 margaritas but my party was charged filled price, even after asking which ones qualified as the special.
My entree was lacking. I asked the server what comes with the veggie fajitas. They said with the onions and peppers, mushrooms and zucchini. I was served no mushrooms or zucchini. When I inquired, they said they made a mistake and they don’t do mushrooms anymore. I said that was OK but I want the zucchini. They brought out a plate more peppers and onions plus carrots (weird) and a couple sprigs of spinach. So confused and disappointed.
They were very disinterested in making it right. Would not recommend.
