1st visit here. I had fried fish and fries, and hubby had the lemon pepper grilled. They have shoestring fries. You also get cole slaw. I prefer mine a little sweeter.
The prices for their fish dinner are very good.
I have a hard time with steps and there are a few but no ramp

What can I say…it’s been awhile since I’ve visited the restaurant. It was originally owned by my Aunt & Uncle. It was also named after my Uncle Mont. My Aunt Linda gave up her job at Packard Electric to run this restaurant & did so for over 30 years. They both loved this restaurant and the community they served. I & my sister both have fond memories working in this restaurant & the bait shop below. It certainly was a pleasure getting to stop by & eat a delicious breakfast & reminiscence for a while. The new menu looks fantastic & we loved that they had pics on the wall of our aunt & uncle. That was so sweet to see.

We have driven by Monty’s for a while finally stopped this morning. My advice is don’t just drive by, stop! The biscuits and gravy were delicious and now this our stopping place. Going to work our way through the menu.

Mom and pop restaurant not much to see on the outside. Could use a remodel. Clean inside, friendly cook waitress and staff. Excellent taste to my Yankee pot roast. Al dente potatoes and carrots. Onions not mushy and the mushrooms amazing. The pot roast I cut with a butter knife. The look wasn’t appealing (see pic). Flavor was 5 star and people. Bathroom through the kitchen. Definitely old style. Putting remodel aside, this is the place to eat. Close to Mosquito lake on 88.

Nice mom & pop place. Had the fish sandwich. Coating was nice and crunchy & not too thick. Fresh cut fair style fries. Mom had the chicken tenders & mashed potatoes. They are real mashed potatoes with a little bit of garlic.

Best wings I’ve ever had. We traveled to the area from Pittsburgh… called them shortly before closing and we’re glad we caught them. The staff was beyond friendly. Hats off to the gentlemen who made our wings. Asked if they had Cajun wings and he said sure. He said he had never made them before. Dude you nailed it. As soon as we got in the car to drive home the whole ride smelled like Cajun seasoning. Had our noses running! And they say if you ain’t sneezin.. it ain’t seasoned! Lol… but seriously… crispy and cooked just right. Fresh French fries. Good ranch dressing (which is crucial lol) highly recommend… what a nice little spot at the end of the lake. Thank you for great service and great food.

We are camping up the street, n stopped here. The waitress was very sweet, they were very accommodating. Yes, there was a wait for food but I don’t mind especially knowing that it’s fresh. I will definitely come back again. And I really liked how they had a coloring book available for kids. Like I said, they were very accommodating.

Best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had hands down. The homemade biscuits are amazing. We had quite a large group of people, and everyone agreed that their breakfast was delicious!

Used to be better. Family that runs it has lost interest in business. I think it’s for sale. This place has a great location. It has unbelievable potential for the right owner.

Found out about Monty’s in a Facebook group. Decided to give it a try. We loved it! Service was great and food was delicious. My husband had the Gut buster I believe it was called ( biscuits w/ gravy, bacon, sausage, eggs, home fries,) and I had the strawberry crepes…soooo good!
