We thoroughly enjoyed our food and the restaurant’s atmosphere was great for our dinner. But, the highlight of our night was Gus, our waiter. He created a seamless, personalized dining experience through efficient, organized, and genuinely friendly service. We kept him on his toes but he made sure to make our dinner an amazing experience.

We highly recommend the wings (they need zero sauce on them, they are that good), the winter salad, the crab cakes, the burger, and the NY strip. We will be back!

I had my birthday dinner at Vista Rooftop, a place I had been wanting to try for a long time. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. For the first time in my life, I experienced such poor service. The man who served us was extremely rude. During the whole dinner, I could count on one hand how many words he spoke to us. He didn’t introduce himself, never said “thank you” or “how is everything.” He checked on us only once and later just dropped off boxes. This was nothing like the service you expect at an expensive restaurant, and as someone who works in the service industry, I was really shocked. Honestly, even at a pizza spot on the boardwalk you can get better service.

As for the food, it was just okay. My husband enjoyed the mussels, and I liked my drink. The steak was good, but I didn’t like the sauce underneath—it had a strange texture, no flavor, just oily. The mashed potatoes were unusual too; I still don’t know what was in them. My husband liked the lamb, but not the risotto.

Overall, you can get much better service and similar food quality at a place like Outback Steakhouse. If we ever return, it would only be for drinks at the bar and the mussels.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my dining experience at your establishment, which I reserved specifically to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately, the experience fell significantly below expected standards of food quality, cleanliness, and customer service.

During our visit, multiple items were returned, including cold side dishes and crab soup that had an unpleasant, fishy taste, raising concerns about food quality. Additionally, there were gnats present in the dining area, including one found on my dessert, which was priced at $14 for a single slice.

The mixed drinks were overly sweet, diluted, and did not reflect their premium pricing. Despite these issues, no manager came to our table to address the concerns. Instead, the individual I believe to be the owner remained in the back and sent the server to ensure payment was collected, without any effort to resolve the situation.

I selected your restaurant for a special occasion and expected a level of professionalism consistent with your brand standards. I respectfully request a follow-up regarding this matter, including how these concerns will be addressed to prevent similar experiences in the future.

I would appreciate a response at your earliest convenience.

My birthday was ruined!!

We went to the Vista Rooftop on Feb 28, it was a Saturday. We had 4 people in our group. First, the young lady who greeted us at the podium had a big smile on her face. She sat us promptly and we had a wonderful view from our table. Now I did look at the reviews before we got to the restaurant. I read a lot of the reviews and many said great things about the waiter named Gus. So when the young man came to our table to get drink orders, he stated that his name is Gus and welcomed us to the restaurant. After we ordered our drinks, I thought to myself that He was the Star waiter and I can’t believe we got so lucky. We received our drinks which were very good and then we ordered apps. We ordered the calamari and the tsunami wonton. Both were very good. Then, two of us ordered the seafood risotto, which was phenomenal. One ordered the steak and one ordered the chicken and the four of us couldn’t have been happier! Gus made the experience worth every minute and we are looking forward to not only being there again, but also enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant. Thank you so much Gus! You are the G.O.A.T. the “Gus Of All Time!” Tell the boss we said hi!

I went there with some friends for the unlimited brunch, and it was a wonderful experience. We were literally able to sample the whole menu between the three of us. Something to note is that the portion sizes are quite small, so going à la carte could end up being a losing proposition. Note that alcoholic beverages are extra, but only $5 each if you are having brunch.

The highly entertaining Dennis served us. He made great suggestions based on our preferences and general favorites, and kept the plates coming! The drinks were well mixed, and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures of the food because we ate it that fast!

The star of course, is the view! I honestly don’t think there was a bad seat in the house. Despite the torrential rain the night before, our outdoor seating area was clean and dry. Looking forward to going back and eating there at sunset.

We were there 2 weeks ago. Our server was Gus and he really made sure everything was perfect for us. It was the best meal we’ve had so far on the coast. The chef obviously knows what he’s doing. Sitting on the rooftop was so relaxing. We had such a pleasant experience. We will be back!

I recently had the chance to visit Vista Rooftop in Ocean City, MD, and it did not disappoint! The food was fantastic!!! The New York Strip was cooked to absolute perfection. While the service was a bit on the slower side, the overall vibe and flavors made up for it. I’ll definitely be back!

Christina was great! It’s so nice to have professional pictures taken and they came out great! The atmosphere was great. The one note I will make is on the food and why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because my friends salad has plastic in it and a manager didn’t come over and apologize. The waiter threw the piece of plastic on the floor and then after she told the manager he walked out and asked to see it and she had to pick it up off of the floor from the outdoor patio.

It was pricy, but our waiter, Gus, was attentive & the food was amazing!! The appetizers were delicious…brussel sprouts made me forget I was eating veggies! The spinach artichoke crab dip deliciously combined all of my favorite dips in one!! And the filet was perfectly cooked! The atmosphere was a little more casual than the price of the food would suggest, but maybe that’s to be expected in a beach town!

Vista is a definite recommendation for a lunch or dinner date. It’s pricey, but it’s so worth it. The food and drinks are delicious! The tsunami wontons were such a unique combination of flavors, the V-House burger was amazing, and the seafood risotto was to die for! Vista is located on the rooftop of the Fenwick Inn. There’s lots of seating inside and out, with great views.
