Went in as some place different to go as we had never been. Our bartender was cordial and on top of her game.
We had lunch, grilled chicken Caesar salad and my companion had French onion soup with a side of broccoli bites. Food came out quickly. I immediately asked for a to go container for my salad as I knew there was no way I was going to finish it all. My lunch companions french onion soup was perfect.The broccoli bites not so great. They were a little mushy, i’m sure they were frozen before they hit our plate.
The bar was clean and fairly crowded, so conversation was do-able on a saturday afternoon.
We would go back for another round.
After the delightful reply from the owner I decided to change my rating to 1 star. Yes it was New Year’s Eve but it was only 3pm and the place was maybe 20% full. His reply does nothing to explain the luke-warm pizza. When a waitress regularly checks 2 other tables around you and walks right by without even asking if everything is okay this is just the worst service ever. My wife and I always saw that this place was always busy so we decided to finally stop and check it out.
We’ve ordered from this pizza place several times, both for take-out and dine-in and it was always great, but unfortunately, after a few back-to-back issues, I feel it’s time to share my experience.
1. The 24-inch Philly Jawn: We originally received a 12-inch sandwich. When we called, we were told they would fix it, which we appreciated, but unfortunately, when we returned to pick it up, they gave us another 12-inch… this time with onions on it, despite the ticket clearly stating “onions on the side.” That was frustrating because some family members couldn’t eat it and were waiting for it. It would’ve been great if they just remade the entire 24-inch sandwich properly rather than having us go back and forth, which pulled people away from our family gathering.
2. Kids Pasta Substitution: When we ordered a kids pasta, the person who took the order confirmed we could have it with Rosa sauce instead of the standard options. A few minutes later, we received a call stating that the cook “won’t do that.” There was no explanation as to why or any attempt to offer a solution. A simple “we don’t normally offer substitutions, but we can offer a different sauce” would’ve been a more helpful response.
3. Wings Sauces: The sauces for the wings were also wrong.. completely off from what we had ordered, and the dressing was wrong too.
While I do understand that mistakes happen, the response from the owner didn’t focus on how to make the situation right or correct the errors… it was more concerned with the star rating, which felt defensive. I believe good customer service could have changed my review for the better, but instead, I felt that my concerns were dismissed.
I’ve always enjoyed their food, and I hope they take this feedback seriously. If these issues can be addressed with better communication and customer care, I’d be happy to revisit.
I will have to be honest and say in the photo below it was a large? Yet we ordered a large like a week later and it was double the size I think they gave us a personal sized one the first time instead of a large, we had the first time delivered the second time when it was huge we went to go pick it up I dont know if thats why it changed or what it was delicious no matter what but I did notice the first time was way smaller made me sad because we used the last of our money on this
