Wanted to go here for a while and I’m grateful to finally have been. It was quiet for a Saturday afternoon lunch and we were able to be immediately sat without a reservation. Our server as well as other staff members were attentive and made sure we were taken care of the entite time. We ordered a lot and everything hit just right. The miso soup was delicious, dumplings were savory and the karaage was crisp and super tasty! The sushi was very fresh and so good. Would absolutely return and hopefully will!

Wow! Outstanding food and super accommodating to our large group. I had never been here before nor tried a dish like I got. It had chicken, shrimp, squid, vegetables and a spicy broth. It was so good and huge! Will definitely be back when back in town.

First time trying Ika Grill and will be back. The service was incredibly swift and considerate throughout the dining experience and you can feel the pride in their work. The food itself was really good – the pork dumplings being the star, with the best balance of crunch and decadence you seek when indulging in dumplings. The rolls were solid, but I was trying some new sushi rolls because I felt adventurous so will come back and get some home run options. The fish all tasted fresh and vegetables crisp and rice had a great mouth feel. Excited to come back already

Maybe the best sushi in KS!!! Everything we had was amazing and the happy hour menu was really worth it! The salmon rangoon was good and something I’ve never had before. The karaage was a lot (we couldn’t finish it) for the price. We got the gaijin roll and two from the happy hour menu. Overall, would recommend!

Came for lunch with my work buds. Tried generals chicken, which came with hot and sour soup and a salad. The greens in my salad were super fresh and hot and sour soup is always delicious. Generals chicken always has a little spice whenever I’ve ordered before but this one had none, which was a little disappointing. It was still good though. There was also an extensive offering of sushi which I need to come back and try.

We’ve driven by here dozens of times and rarely thought about stopping in which was our loss. This evening we wanted something just a little different than our normal fare and decided to try a new place. The evening weather was great and the outside patio had room. Our waiter was great, funny, and helpful. It was apparent he enjoyed his job. The food was excellent and the timing of each course was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and plan to be back soon.

the nigri maguro tuna was so delicious and fresh. i ordered a crunchy tiger roll and it was to die for.
didnt care for the kimchi much but everything else was soooooo delicious.

Amazing sushi and food. Very impressed! We will be back! Sit at the sushi bar and ask for something special or omakase. Get the Korean JamBong soup- it might sound intimidating (spicy seafood soup) but whoa it is incredible. Overall just one of the best sushi experiences in KC… reminds me of Nara.
