Stopped for lunch. Cheeseburger and fries were great. The red Velvet blizzard was tasteless. The chunks of cake were in no way a good addition. Now I know never to order one of those again…Just not my taste. The cashier was GREAT. Very polite and helpful. The best service at this site ever!

This is the best Dairy Queen! Many weekends (when we go the most) an employee named Lyla works, and she is very mannerly and appears to be a hard worker. Great job as always!

I will ALWAYS choose this DQ over the others in the Athens area! The food is always fresh and I never have any complaints. However, the customer service could be a bit better. They always seem too be “dry” or “unenthusiastic” but never rude… The seasonal pumpkin pie blizzard is a BIG plus!!

I ordered chicken strips for my extra small doggy and they were awful. Super dark in looks like either they were cooked in very old oil or they were super old. Very hard crust and when I tried calling the store as soon as I got home could never get anyone to answer the phone. I attempted to go online to their customer service and put in a complaint about this and the site was not very friendly to submit this complaint.

Stopped by around 9pm on a Friday night to grab a bite to eat. I ordered a double cheeseburger combo with a large coke. The fries weren’t all that great and almost taste like they were cooked in the same oil with chicken and other deep fried items.
My burger was hot for the most part. It was overly packed with ketchup, mustard, and mayo. Tasted alright but I wouldn’t say it was the best burger I had.
Staff at the drive thru was extremely friendly and seemed happy to want to work there

This is my go to store for a sweet cold treat.
I always stop in for a chocolate dipped cone whenever I’m feeling kind of puny. Somehow it always makes me feel better.

Not sure what’s wrong with the lady in the drive through line but she about threw our food into the car. Snatched my card out of my hand and just tried to get us out of the line as fast as possible.

The service used to be great. Now, I am greated in the usual way over the speaker but when I get to the window, I feel like I get the cold sholder. I amnalways super nice and polite because I know how it is to work restaurants and especially drive thru’s. Some of the public can be cruel and unforgiving and thake their problems out on the staff. So , I ALWAYS try to say thank you, to smile, and to genuinely be kind to whomever opens that drive thru window. However, the past 3 or more time I have been thru, my cashier did not so much as crack a smile! I even made sure to look them in the eye and repeat, “Thank you so much!” and “Have a great night!” And to my disbelief all I got was a window shut in my smiling face! I am so disappointed! This used to be my favorite place to go in Watkinsville. I am not so sure anymore. As if the “just barely doing my job” staff wasnt enough, the chicken strip meal deal has gone from $5 to $8, 8n yhe past uear or so, and toast no longer comes with it. Not to mention you can no longer get onion rings substituted for the fries without a substancial up-charge. And the quality of food has dramatically been declining since the owner is no longer there holding these guys hands in the evening times. Shame on this evening crew for not proving that they can hold down the fort while the boss is away. At the very least, SMILE, and say, “you are welcome”! It does not cost you or anyone else ANYTHING to be kind!

When I first walked in to pick up my order, all I saw were different staff members eating…one at the counter, one at the drive-thru window and one at the drink machines. That’s fine. People have to eat. What I thought was absolutely nasty was the one worker behind the counter licking his fingers after eating, then he proceeds to grab my food and put it in bags. And he absolutely touched the food. The guys in back had gloves, but this man did not. I literally threw the fries away because he touched them after licking his fingers. I didn’t say anything because he may not have realized it, and I didn’t want to embarrass him, but that was disgusting. I won’t be going back until they have better hygiene behind the counters.

The hot fudge Sunday was great! The man who took our order would be a better representative of Dairy Queen, though, if he would value his customers, smile like the young lady behind him, and say a simple”thank you.” He didn’t even hand our food to us. He pointed to a high counter where we had to go pick it up ourselves. Dairy Queen can do better than that!
