We had a really nice Valentines meal. The place was packed and the food and service was ready for the night. I would recommend for someone looking to make a drive to a good meal. It is worth the trip.

We rented a VRBO in Waterville and read about this restaurant. We both had the special, jumbo shrimp scampi with baked potato and salad bar. Everything was delicious and the staff were great. The real shocker was the reasonable prices including drinks from the bar. Highly recommend when you’re in the area!

I really enjoy a place that has the Old Supper Club feel.
The Old Rossville has that exact feeling. A good Salad Bar is a must and they don’t disappoint !! They even had my favorite..a large bowl of Pickled Herring ! My Prime Rib was cooked perfectly and I just needed to add a little Garlic Salt and my beloved Black Pepper and it was golden !! For just $6 more I got three deep fried Jumbo Shrimp. All this at a extremely reasonable price.
Definitely zero room for dessert.

The prime rib special was excellent! The atmosphere is very small town casual and the wait staff was incredibly friendly. They have a very nice little salad bar that comes with most meals, it has your normal fixings of potato and pasta salads, lettuce with various toppings and dressings, and two different kinds of soup. I got a baked potato as my vegetable of choice and it was cooked perfectly. The prime rib was seasoned quite well, had good flavor, and was served with au jus. A very good experience!

We almost went elsewhere but read that place’s reviews directing us to come here… good save! Our group is staying at the Decorah High Point Cabins for the weekend looking for local flavor. Boy, did we find it at the Old Rossville Store! From steaks to chicken to the Friday night cod it was all cooked and served to delicious perfection!
My husband’s pork tenderloin was the only low point of the meal because it appeared to have come straight out of the freezer into the fryer (leaving him with broasted cod envy) but other than that we couldn’t find fault.
The food, service, atmosphere, and price easily make this the best meal anyone in our group has enjoyed in years. Thank you!
