I had the summer shine ice cream and it was great I enjoyed it. The service was fast and the place is clean. They have a lot of options and I’ll come back to try some of there other items.

If i can give Zero stars for the service i would but i cant. I hope the owner see the review because i cant find any information to contact the owner of the place. I done live far from the place and my kids buy drinks and ice cream at least once in the summer. My teen daugther just asked my to drop by tonight for a drink and good part the place closes late on a colder weather. I ordered 910 pm and i was on my way home from errands. The clover ordering app says it will be ready in 10 minutes. I did was not able to pick up my order till 945pm. I saw the drink sitting on the counter warm from the boba and the place is not cool enough from air conditioning since it is cold out. I mentioned the situation to the staff and she was looking at me like im crazy. I said that the drink was supposedly cold because it is a cold drink. In the summer, when i order ahead of time, the drinks come out of the fridge. The staff says, they dont store the drinks in the fridge because it is winter time per policy of the owner. I dont think that is true. The temperature of the drink should stay the way it should be to preserve the quality of service and food. Right before i left the place, i told her that the drink should stay chilled. She was on the work space and just pure ignorance acting like at home without professionalism and proper service. She lied about my order was just about the same time and disregarded my information about the food was sitting on the counter for at least 25 minutes. The room temperature place is not a good place for storage of a cold drink. If i ordered room temp boba then i would specify room temp. Unless that is how your quality is now. You cant miss on good quality product and service since you have other competition around the neighborrhood. Your staff should be more knowledgable about food handling and proper customer interaction. You are not usually like this in the summer when you have better staff.

If you’re in Oak Park and craving a fun, flavorful dessert, Sweet Monster Rolled Ice Cream Parlor is a must-visit. I stopped in recently and was seriously impressed—not just by the ice cream, but by the whole experience.
Watching the rolled ice cream being made right in front of you is half the fun. The staff were super friendly and clearly knew what they were doing.

Horrible service we were not greeted when we walked in and there was nobody in the front which was fine I walked to the self-serve kiosk. We ordered at the kiosk, and then two other people walked in minutes later, and the girl stopped making our drinks to make theirs. The girl was rude. I said thank you, but she didn’t even acknowledge it until I said it again. To make this worse the drinks were pretty bad all powdered-based and so artificial tasting. For the price they charge they could at least use frozen fruit. The girl also looked like she just didn’t want to be there slamming everything.

I recently went in for a taro drink & saw they had a large signage with a phone number the community can call for assistance/questions on ICE. It seems they have since then taken it down. Not sure if it was intentional or not, but considering the customer demographic characteristics, community, staff & current situation- I feel they shouldn’t have put it up just to take it back down. It feels as if they aren’t being supportive, or are afraid to promote the help in fear of losing certain customers. Either way, the establishment is very clean & the drinks and staff are amazing! I’m just disappointed with them taking it down.

Let me just say the first time I ordered sweet monster I wasn’t sure if it was going to be any good, but after some time and trying all sorts of drinks that they had to offer! Worth it! on top it off the appearance of the drink, and the taste of the drink, and the overall decor when visiting well worth it, they also have large bathroom for even wheelchairs to fit that I can confirm. I take my daughter there. As for there menu. my favorites would be lemon, black tea, and of course strawberry milk tea they also have this little ice bear that you can see in the photo I provide it that gives it an extra cooling to your drink if you want your drink to last longer,. My sister is also a huge fan, but her favorites would be the watermelon, smoothie with tapioca which she described as well worth the taste, when it arrives or when we pick it up is always a treat for us. so if you want something, tasty and thirst quenching definitely stop by sweet monster, a place that looks cute.The cups are adorable and the taste is unforgettable. I give it two thumbs up!
Also, would like to add they have cold drinks and warm drinks. You can also customize your preferences from how much I ice
you want, how much sugar you need. And you can also order some Thai ice cream too. They also have some Japanese snacks.

My daughter spotted this place and we thought it would be cool to go. Unfortunately it needs to be a lot bigger! Kids from everywhere as well as adults want to grab one of their CUTE CREATIONS! But to order and have to wait outside for it between 30-45 minutes is ridiculous! You have to pay first and there aren’t any refunds! To spend $10 dollars wasn’t that bad because you get fresh fruit and other sweet treats in your cup. The problem is more so location, staffing, and waiting time. Never go on a crowded day or hot day because it will start melting by the time it gets assembled!

Eh, I liked the milk teas and recommend them, but I had better rolled ice cream. Sweet Monster is only average to me and I only recommend if your in the area and craving it. There is only one size option for the milk teas.
It is located on a busy street, so parallel street parking is available on the block or around the block. When we arrived, (Sunday around 7PM) the line was out the door, but the line did move fast. They have the menu options posted all over the windows outside so that was nice to see what you want while you wait, especially if this is your first time. They have more menus posted at the table before your order. They have a variety of milk teas, rolled ice cream, smoothies, tapioca and snacks available. The customer service experience was just ok. They were busy when we were there, but the ordering process could have been smoother as the cashier couldn’t hear what I was ordering and then I didn’t want a receipt, but I wanted to know what number I was, and the girl didn’t understand me so I ended up just getting a receipt. Not a huge deal, but a little annoying. They were slammed, but they also had the music blasting? Maybe if they could just lower the music than the cashier would have been able to communicate and listen better? They do not offer seating inside so I’m not sure why the music was so loud. Also, If this is your first time and you’re ordering a drink or smoothie they have the straws to the left when you walk in, same thing with spoons for the ice cream. I recommend to grab it before you order. During our visit, no employee told any customer this. Maybe it’s set up when you walk in and should appear as common sense, but as a first time to the shop, we didn’t know and when we got our order, the employee’s didn’t say anything.

Fun Size
Not real a bubble tea person so I go for the rolled up ice cream. 10/10 I recommend! Friendly staff , Stay busy, but you are in and out. Go check them out!

Craving bubble tea smoothies? Sweet Monster offers refreshing, tasty drinks. No more driving downtown and plenty of parking on Roosevelt. Tried a Blueberry/Matermelon smoothie with Tapioca. Order ahead to avoid the wait… if staff is preparing walk-in rolled ice cream, plan on about 10-15 minutes an order. Thank me later. Good things come to those who wait.
