81-year-old pizza restaurant owner struck after alleged face …
Reviews
6:30 on a Saturday night and the place was empty. Ordered a small pizza, left name and waited to be called…and waited FOREVER. I checked to find out where the pizza was and I was told there was only one cook and had to be patient. Waited an hour and a half. When I asked again, it had been sitting there awhile and the pizza was cold. No apology. Now I know why the place was empty.
NEVER AGAIN.
We arrived and sat at a booth, our order was taken by our waiter. We ordered a pizza and a tzatziki appetizer. During the 30 minutes between ordering and our food arriving we had ample time to explore the bathroom, which lacked paper towels, and watch another customer send back a lipstick stained glass.
I was excited about our food when it finally came but somehow both the pizza and the tzatziki were markedly bad. Even with garlic as a topping the pizza was bland. I can comfortably say the pizza was in the bottom ten of pizzas I’ve ever had (and I went to public school). I hoped the tzatziki could make up for it, but alas the pitas had gotten cold and crusty and the tzatziki itself seemed more like thick sour cream with two or three limp pieces of cucumber.
After a slice and a half of pizza we decided that any other pizza place on commercial st would have been a better choice. It was at that point I pulled out my wallet, left cash and walked out. I would never recommend this place, especially with so many other great pizza joints on Commercial St.
I walked back to the counter and spoke to the same older man and mentioned that I had our order written down, a female employee approached the counter as I was talking to the man and both said with a high tone of voice “why didn’t you call ahead of time to place this order, this order will take up to an hour to be ready, you should of had called ahead we cannot do this”.. other customers witness how this staff members verbally humiliated me in front of everyone and loud, and didn’t appreciate or recognized my effort to help the staff by taking my friends drinks and foods orders myself. And instead I got yelled at and was humiliated. Another party witnessed it and they walked out immediately. I went back to my table with the order paper on my hands and they said that they heard how I was treated by the staff behind the counter and we all agreed to get up and leave to another place.
They knew there was a street festival like usual, why didn’t they get prepared for it.
It was our first time here and wanted to try it out, we chose this place over hundreds of other places. Our bill was going to be between $250.00-$300.00 plus 20% gratuity. We took that somewhere else.
Most definitely don’t recommend this restaurant.
Horrible, angry, verbally abusive service.
