We heard such rave reviews and decided to try this place for the first time. Sadly it will be our last. I got the brisket and potato salad. The potatoe salad isn’t bad but not great. My wife got the 2 pork sliders. The pork AND the brisket I got had no taste what’s so ever. Not even a Smokey flavor. It was pure slop and the buns were soggy as ever. The pork was in big dark chunks and also the bbq sauce wasn’t great either. Very disappointed and upset that 41.00 is down the drain.

Stopped here on the way back from Homer and realized it’s one of the best restaurants in Alaska. Homemade sourdough, cut fries fried in beef tallow, steak sandwich was the best I’ve ever had.

Always a hit, love this place, great food for the price. I got the steak sandwich and the cook girl forgot to ask how I’d like it so she said she made it how she likes it and it came out genuinely perfect. The employees are so wonderful too.

Absolutely loved this place! I Had to order even more food so that I could try more of their entrees. We had the Brisket, rack of ribs, and a delicious juicy cheeseburger. Will eat here every time I’m in Alaska.

This was the perfect lunch before we went fishing! We got brisket, cheese curds, and fish and chips. The cheese curds were a huge hit with the family and the portion sizes were great in our opinion. Dessert was good and not too sweet. Bonus is that they gave my kids little mama’s goodie bags to enjoy after lunch! Appreciated the hospitality and will be stopping by on our next trip down to Sterling.

Ate here when I was on a Salmon fishing trip and I got to say probably the best food in all of Alaska their BBQ is off the hook good I had the prime rib sandwich the first time I visited 2 days later i had to try the pound pulled pork sandwich so so good…… But what makes this place even better is the chili beans never had a better chili than at Mammas also the best prices in town it’s a win win situation…….Six years later it’s still the best BBQ in Alaska…..I live in Houston Tx I know good BBQ when I eat it. I

I wish I had taken photos so you could see how yummy this food was. We got ribs and brisket with coleslaw and potato salad. The ribs were really well flavored and smoked, brisket was very tender. The woman meat smoker (hell ya) came out to chat and was very friendly. Great place for a quick lunch!
