BELIEVE THE REVIEWS!! Atmosphere is simple, but doesn’t take anything away from the place. Service was amazing, food was so good and the portions were generous!! Pricing was also fair. 10/10 experience for me. I got the Pastrami Reuben.

Great spot for a quick sandwich, burger, hotdogs or just a beer. Nice beer selection too!. I had the, Made in House, roast beef sandwich with sautéed onions cheese, and jalapeño. Very good. Get the Cajun Potato salad as a side. OMG that stuff is good. It comes warm so dont be surprised by the temp. Server was great, chatty and attentive.

Raspberry Mimosas were very good.
Now the food….
The biscuits and gravy were the worst I ever had. Gravy was room temperature and the flavor of the sausage was nonexistent. The biscuits..oh them biscuits smh , they had to come from a can because who uses flacky layered biscuits for biscuits and gravy.
I also wanted to try their brunch special which was the Shrimp and Cheesy Grits. The shrimps were very good but the grits were so gritty and grainy. They were not cooked enough to my liking.
Would I come back? Highly unlikely

Love this place! It was packed but the staff made room for our family of 5 immediately. The food was unreal and the atmosphere feels like a place that Rockford locals are proud of. I got the breakfast tacos and the rest of the fam ordered Nashville chicken on French Toast, the smash burger and a breakfast crunch wrap. Everyone left full and happy!

Been here twice. First time waitress got our drinks, took our food order and we didn’t have her attn again until I walked to the bar to get another drink when almost done eating. The 2nd time, the service was fine. I had spicy chicken snap and then a burger. They were good, but I’d rather from other places. Will definitely try again

I’ve been here a few times now and have gotten something different everytime. You seriously cannot go wrong. The vibes here a very laid back. I’ve always had great service, and food is comforting and delicious. You can also tell basically all of the food here is made in house. Everything comes out so fast and fresh, you’re burning your mouth. But it’s so good, it’s worth it. Very fun drinks too!

Delicious food and beverage selections. SO MANY CRAFT BEERS, many of which are local and in tap. Great crew working hard to give friendly fast service. Can’t wait to come back to this neighborhood gem. This place has got the bones of longevity to create their own Rockford history. Love every detail in the fabric of Ernie’s, from the beautifully restored building, the liquor selection, and local memorabilia on the walls.
