Go, go, go…went here for lunch after seeing loads of reviews and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were very friendly, the food was fast, no long waiting times. The waitress accommodating the spice/heat level of our dishes to suit our requirements. The chef coming over and chatting, letting us ask questions and explaining the food was so nice. The sweet and sour, penang curry and prawn spicy noodles were outstanding. In everyone’s reviews they speak about the cheesecake and it was as good as expected, this blows the other cheesecakes out the water. The sticky toffee pudding was so good too, so make sure you leave some room. We will defo be back. Thank you for your great food and hospitality..a hidden gem in the southside everyone should try. x

Very delicious Thai food. Especially the starters!! The satay was absolutely exceptional, the same as the prawn wontons. I really liked the pad thai there was plenty of prawns on it and the peanuts/chillis came on the side. Ideal location in Shawlands as it’s always easy to park at that end.

Absolutely delicious and authentic Thai food! If you’ve been craving real Thai food since your holiday to Thailand then this place is exactly where you need to go when you get the Thailand blues.
Open kitchen so you can see the chefs working away in a very clean environment using fresh produce and it all reflects in the taste.
The dishes are accurate in their spice rating and every mouthful for us was delicious. I was so excited to see some morning glory on the menu too. Great way to get some veg into that fussy eater.
A true gem in the southside and I can see why they won Scotland’s best restaurant last year. I wouldn’t hesitate in bringing a Thai granny here because that’s how authentic the food is. No packets, everything is made in house, with the experience being clear in every dish.

First time at The Thai and had an amazing experience with my family. It was super busy and the owner called her husband and they both powered through an incredibly busy period with a smile on their face. Furthermore, the customer service was perfect – warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive throughout our visit. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
