Got the taco salad chicken (was good), the chip trio with salsa, queso, and guacamole (good). Strawberry marg. w/salt is good, but not that strong. Family owned.

Taqueria Corona is the kind of neighborhood gem that makes you feel lucky to live nearby. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that captures the spirit of a true Mexican taqueria. The food is consistently flavorful and fresh—whether it’s their sizzling carne asada tacos, generously stuffed burritos, or the addictively crispy chips and house-made salsa that start off every meal just right. It’s clear the ingredients are thoughtfully sourced and the kitchen takes pride in delivering authentic flavors without unnecessary frills.

What really sets Taqueria Corona apart, though, is the heart behind the service. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and quick to recognize returning faces, adding a personal touch that’s rare in most casual eateries. The prices are fair, the portions satisfying, and it’s the kind of spot where both quick takeout and slow dinners with friends feel equally right. Whether you’re rolling in for a weekday lunch or winding down with a cold beer and enchiladas after work, it never disappoints. A true staple for the neighborhood.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I brought my parents here for their first time and where do I begin. A young woman sat us and had a poor attitude as soon as we walked in. First, both of my parents specifically ordered tequila with fresh lime juice. They delivered the drinks with tequila mix which is a sugar concentrated mix, not the same as lime juice. This was the least of the problems. We proceeded to order our entrees. My dad ordered a ribeye because they didn’t have fajitas, what Mexican place doesn’t have fajitas ?? He asked for the ribeye rare and it was delivered well done. My family is the restaurant business and we never send food back, but my dad told the waitress just so she knew the kitchen overcooked the steak and she insisted on re making it. Great. Once the ribeye was returned, the steak was RAW. Being in the restaurant business we understand quality of meats, this steak was equivalent to hoarse meat. It was the skinniest, poorest excuse of a ribeye. My dad then asked the waitress to send the manager over. Several minutes later, the manager arrived. My dad started the conversation with “hey buddy I’m not trying to be rude, but we’re in the restaurant business and I ordered this steak rare and it came out well done and it is now raw”. My dad proceeded to offer suggestions about how to avoid problems with the steak in future. Because the quality of the meat is so pathetic, it is impossible to cook. My dad told the manager he has sympathy for the cook lol because the meat is impossible to cook, it’s so skinny and sad! The manager stood over my dad the whole time with the most miserable look on his face. My dad said ok, I understand you don’t care about what I’m saying I’ll stop talking. After this, the manager said it’s clear to me you have had too much to drink. Haha. My dad had half of one really bad margarita. My parents and I were shocked at what the “manager” had said. We were then asked to leave. This is a sad sorry excuse for a Mexican restaurant. I have been here numerous times. I, nor my family will ever return to this dump. There’s no doubt in my mind that this place is dirty and fails to meet minimum health standards.
Good luck and enjoy selling horrible margaritas and undigestible hoarse meat.

The food was mediocre at best. I got a California chicken burrito that they pulled out of the microwave. The Pico was the worst I’ve ever had. Not much flavor in anything. The margarita was pretty good though. The prices are far too high for the quality of food served. You’re better off going to taco bell than this place unless you just want the margaritas.

The food is average, if not slightly above. The restaurant, on a 90-degree day, struggles to maintain a comfortable temperature. That and the occasional smoke from the kitchen. The service was friendly but one person during lunch rush resulted in slow service.

My partner ordered from here over the phone, we saw the one dollar sign and the high reviews and figured it’d be fine for a quick pick up. We spent over 30 dollars on ‘cotton-ball dry’ chicken and hard shell tacos that made me wish I had just gone to taco bell. No sour cream on either, just salsa sides. And again nothing but the chicken for 5$ a taco. Go to Juan’s, Felipe’s, or literally taco bell before going here

If I could give this meal zero stars I would. The steak and chicken in the tacos was overcooked dry and poorly seasoned plus it had no fixings, not even cilantro. The burrito is nothing but beans straight from a can. All the salsas are watered down. For the price of the meal this is insulting, yall should be ashamed. I want my money back. For the tip I gave your staff to split, I should have given recommendations on how to cook. I wouldn’t even feed that mess to a dog

Disappointed that Google Maps shows Taqueria Corona open for lunch on Mondays, yet when we arrived, signs on the door stated they’re closed on Mondays and open only for dinner. See you next time.

Don’t come here if you don’t want your food put in the microwave ordered a quesadilla and they put it in the microwave . I usually order tacos and they are amazing like 10/10 but this time wanted to be a little adventurous I dot have a microwave at my house so paying for food and it be microwave is a red flag and alarming

Service was awesome! Waitress was attentive, but the food was just okay. Pretty basic Tex mex food. Wanna be adventurous? Try the cow tongue for something different and fun.
