Penn Station makes my very favorite sandwich, a hot Italian sub. I don’t know how they get it exactly right every single time, but they manage to. Their fries are also the best that I’ve found at any chain restaurant, and it’s just fast food! The chocolate chip cookie is a great contrast to the salty sandwiches and fries, but is almost too rich for my taste. I usually submit my order online and pick up at the window. They’re often running less than 5 minutes behind the pickup time I select, which is a non-issue and are always kind. I just wish their prices were lower, but I really can’t complain because I think they literally serve the best sandwich that I’ve found.

Husband’s favorite sandwich is the chicken cordon bleu. It’s good, but the flavor is nowhere near the intense flavors of the Italian sub.

The inside of the restaurant is spotless and seems to run smoothly.

My second and final time patronizing this location with my family. This time was worse than the first time I visit a year ago. Common denominator on both of these horrible experiences is now the GM. Lol I ain’t gon call the GM and owner names but something ain’t right here….

This was my first time trying Penn Station and I was very optimistic because the pictures in other reviews looked pretty good. I was however severely disappointed. I place my order online for just simple cheasesteak with only mayo and cheese, with fries and a drishowthe pickup went pretty smoothly but that was about the only good part of this experience. When I got home and unwrapped my sandwich I discovered a dry, bare sandwich that was so unapetizing. They didn’t add the cheese (one of the only 3 ingredients requested). The meat was dry and shriveled up. This was inedible. Mind you, they were not visibly busy when I arrived. In fact, there was only one other person there. At this point I decided that if they couldn’t get such a simple sandwich right then it wasn’t worth a remake and I’d rather just have my money back for the sandwich. I called the store to inquire about that process which seemed to cause much confusion for the worker who answered. She had to ask her manager on duty if that was an option and how that would work. The answer I was given in the end is that they don’t have the ability to refund only orders in store so they would have to send the information to a higher up manager to get it processed within 3-5 business days. This seemed like quite a lengthy process for a measly $8 so I decided it would just go back to the store and have them remake it. Easy enough. When I entered the store this time however, I was not greeted in any way. The manager avoided even acknowledging I was there. The only thing she said to me was that they didn’t need the sandwich that I brought back and to throw it away. To be very clear, I was in no way rude over the phone or in person either time. I was very polite in describing my displeasure with the sandwich and my confusion about the refund process. It felt like a very dramatic response for the manager to be so unpleasant and rude. It’s really not that serious. I just wanted a sandwich that would be edible. I will not be going here again and I suggest you don’t either.

I’ve always loved this place. Yesterday I called in an Italian sub to go. Got it home and opened it up. It was nothing but meat and bread. No seasoning, no lettuce, tomato, or cheese. Just meat. Normally I would have called and tried to get it right, but when I called it went to voicemail. I hate leaving bad reviews and being that guy, but I feel wronged. I understand things happen and it might of been a new person on the grill, and I’m willing to delete this if someone reaches out.

Love this place…. although it looks like they got a new crew over there. The sandwich was just not as good this time. Hopefully it’ll be better next time not going to kick them down because of one of bad experience.

I have gone to this Penn Station for 5 years, since I moved to Swansea. Tonight I did an online order and ordered the veggie sandwich with Provolone, as I have innumerable times. I even clicked the reorder button. What I opened when I got home was a bread and cheese sandwich. When I called to inquire a lady got on the phone whi was immediately confrontational stating I had ordered it that way. I tried to explain multiple times that I had ordered the sandwich online that way multiple times and never had an issue, but she did not care and immediately told me she would not remake the sandwich, even though I had not asked her to. It is the rudeness and refusal to listen that I leave this review and will be going back to the O’Fallon Penn Station
