Given 3-star for the food as you don’t aspect it’s near to Japanese taste.
1. The karaage chicken has a mixture of breast and thigh parts, so the breast part is dry and hard. And is not served with Japanese mayo which is a standard dip for karaage.
2. The Shin special roll is nice with tasty fried prawn. Unfortunately the sushi rice taste below average.

Cash only, but absolutely worth it. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the katsu curry was well cooked and very satisfying. The atmosphere was lovely, with curtains between tables for privacy. I’ve been here before and would definitely come again.

We selected this restaurant to celebrate our son’s birthday, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The staff fulfilled all our requests, and the service was prompt. Our family and friends thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
I highly recommend the Hotpot Sukiyaki; its flavor is simply divine!
We also indulged in a wheel filled with our favorite sushi rolls, which was not only beautifully presented but also incredibly delicious.

We have visited the UK twice, and I must say that this restaurant has become our favorite spot for comforting Japanese cuisine. The atmosphere feels like home, thanks to the friendly staff and efficient chefs. The dishes are served promptly.

Came for sushi and didn’t leave disappointed! Really lovely and friendly staff, delicious, fresh and well presented food and thought the prices were reasonable too. Definitely a good choice for Sushi in Oxford!

Shin is easily my favourite restaurant, we’ve been several times & each time we have such a great experience. The vibe is really nice inside with the music & the decor, plus the staff are super friendly & nice 🙂 The food is super tasty, I’d recommend the karage chicken!

Such a lovely restaurant with friendly and kind staff. I got the Beef bento box and it is amazing, has so much flavour, and comes with delicious Miso soup! The vibe of the place is really calm and they always have great music playing. All in all amazing restaurant!! ⭐️
