Great lil place. Could use a serious updates as the booth seating is extremely worn. However the food was really good in my opinion. Crispiest onion rings i ever had i got the recliner burger no jalapeños added bacon. However be prepared to pay if you want fries or onion rings woth your burger. It’s just the burger no chips fries or rings. The bf had Cajun pasta wich was seasonthrough. One server for the whole place as its small but certainly friendly and attentive. Def worth the stop if your in. The area or passing theough.

I want to begin by saying that I’m not a picky eater. I am just partial to home cooking, so when we go out we expect bare minimum, our level of dishes. We aren’t chefs, but we definitely can cook.

Moving along….

We ended up here because the Mediterranean Breeze was closed. So, we decided to drive across the street to Red Line Diner. I have wanted to try this place for years and have seen mixed reviews, so today was the day I gave it a shot.

When we arrived there were only two tables with occupants (red flag). I immediately went to the bathroom to wash up. I noticed that the bathroom was filthy especially the floors (red flag #2). I decided to notice the floors back to my table and they weren’t much better. Very, very filthy. Must’ve not been mopped in weeks/months, I don’t know.
I spoke out loud to my husband that I hope the kitchen wasn’t as bad, and he quickly hushed me. We were starving and so were the kids, so we decided to stay.

Here’s what we ordered:

A double cheeseburger with onion rings that my husband and I shared. I thought it was great because I love salt, or maybe I was just hungry. My husband thought they were frozen, not fresh patties and overly salted so much that he couldn’t even consume it. He handed the rest out for the kids to try. When I tried the patty without the toppings, it actually was really salty. The onion rings were good, and I believe they may be homemade, however, they were undercooked and I could almost taste/feel raw batter. Easy fix though. Just cook until golden brown.

My husband and I also tried the Philly pizza. I thought it was decent, but that crust was somehow undercooked as well. It wasn’t bad.

The kids had chicken Alfredo and Cajun pasta. They both enjoyed what they had, but the penne in the Cajun pasta had a mush texture according to my 17 year old. So, I’m guessing the penne was over cooked. Also, easy fix. They enjoyed the sauce.

We took home fried Oreos, turtle cheesecake, and baklava.

Oreos: more batter than cookie. Tasted like a fried pancake not Oreo.

Turtle cheesecake: my favorite thing they had there.

Baklava: HORRIBLE! They deep fried it I guess to freshen it up, or maybe that’s what they do? But, because of that, the philo absorbed all the cooking oil, and that’s EXACTLY what it tasted like.

My husband rates it a 2/10, and he’ll eat almost anything. Not picky at all.

On another note, our sever was polite, and everything was made fresh to order.

Needed to eat before finishing our drive and this seemed like a good spot to stop. The Cajun pasta was delicious and the burger was delicious as was the cheesesteak. The bun for the cheesesteak was delicious. We were very happy with our choices

Great food and friendly service. The hot dogs are great, and the red line burger is phenomenal. The atmosphere is like a diner should be, brings in the nostalgia and the Eclectic together in one flawless view. Restaurant is clean and parking isnt bad. Easy handicap access.

We just ate there today on our way to South Carolina. The food was the best I’ve tasted in such a long time. I wish we had this Diner in my own State of Ohio. The waitress was very friendly and offered such Lovely Hospitality. I would absolutely recommend visiting here and eating here…Absolutely Perfect.

We’ve passed this place numerous times, wondering if it was good. We finally stopped and discovered it was great. I had the Cajun chicken pasta and a side salad. My wife had the steak sandwich with fries. Both dishes were excellent. The Cajun chicken pasta was the best I’ve had.

The service was fast, and our server was attentive and friendly.

Wow! I love this restaurant. We had dinner with some friends who had a meal for the first time at Red Line. They loved the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with everything. The fries were hot and crispy. I had a small Supreme pizza. It was delicious.

The surprise was the wonderful desserts they served. I had a lemon berry cake, and they had a chocolate chip cake. Thus is a great place.

Stopped in to eat here while traveling to Virginia Beach as we were hungry and just looking for a place to eat after gassing the car.

The service and food was very good and the prices reasonable.

We kept our food selections basic (cheeseburgers and fries) rules I have always lived by when traveling long distances into unfamiliar places but it was really good!

If anyone’s passing through the area I recommend popping in and eating there
