After experiencing an issue with a previous DoorDash order, I was pleasantly surprised when LJ, one of the managers, personally reached out and invited me to visit the restaurant. I stopped by the next day and was immediately impressed by how warm and inviting the atmosphere was.
I ordered the same Korean BBQ meal as before, and this time it exceeded all expectations — the flavors were rich, the portions generous, and everything was freshly prepared. To top it off, they even included an extra serving of BBQ, which was an unexpected and much-appreciated gesture.
Excellent service, delicious food, and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. My craving for Korean BBQ has definitely been fulfilled — and the drive was worth every mile. Highly recommend!
DoorDash Order 29 Oct 2025
I ordered the Korean BBQ Bento box through DoorDash, and it was a huge disappointment. The meat was completely burnt — you could actually taste the char, and it ruined the whole meal. If this is how the restaurant prepares their food on a regular basis, I definitely won’t be going there in person. Really unfortunate, because I was looking forward to a good BBQ meal, but this was inedible.

Absolutely beautiful presentation. Friendly atmosphere, gracious portions and gorgeous taste. We (Jim & I ) were so happy we finally stopped in to try it out.

A cute restaurant serving bento boxes, poke bowls, sushi, and more!
I’ve been wanting to try I Heart Bento for so long and am happy that I made my way over there this past weekend!
Atmosphere: The space is clean and surprisingly spacious with table and booth seating.
Service: The service was all right. I ordered a to-go order, so I just needed to place it at the register.
Menu items: I got their Teriyaki Chicken Poke Bowl and Popcorn Chicken starter! I loved both; the poke bowl was a decent size (ended up having leftovers), and I love crispy chicken starters to add some extra protein to my meals. The whole meal was a mix of healthy and comfort foods!
I’ll definitely be back to try more menu items and maybe even have a sit down dining experience!

My bf and I had a great time for our first night there and it was his birthday. Didn’t tell the staff that but they all treated us like they knew! The bento boxes are awesome. You get a lot of food for the price, under $15 each! We love the anime themed drinks and music. Coming back here with friends soon! It is also LGBTQ+ friendly, super plus!

Sorry, I didn’t take a photo I was so hungry that I just gobbled up the vegan sushi! And oh my gosh, it was so delicious. I really appreciate that they added that super tasty cooked tofu inside. I just wish there were a bit more of it, or that the price was a little lower since it’s vegan and doesn’t use anything expensive like fish. I was still a bit hungry afterwards. Still, it was honestly the best vegan sushi I’ve had I really enjoyed it! I really love that the sriracha and soy sauce didn’t have any preservatives, artificial colors, or artificial flavors.

I Heart Bento is one of my favorite spots in Pensacola! The food is always amazing, fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The staff is incredibly kind and consistently goes above and beyond. Thanks for yet another great experience!

This whole experience was just bad from start to finish. The customer service sucked—no greeting, no acknowledgment, just handed me the food and kept it pushing. They crammed everything into one flimsy bag, and the sauces were spilling everywhere by the time I got home. The food itself was a disaster. Everything was over-salted, sloppy, and thrown together like they didn’t care at all. The chicken was hard and dry, the rice was overcooked and soaked in sauce, the macaroni tasted old, and the salad was nothing but wilted lettuce with way too much dressing. The cucumbers weren’t even pickled or seasoned—just plain, regular cut cucumbers tossed in there. They forgot the oranges that were supposed to come with it, and instead of serving it in a proper bento box, they just shoved it all into a cheap foam container. Definitely not worth the money or the headache.

We came here last Friday night after seeing some pictures on google and deciding it looked good. Cute little place when we walked in, but nobody was there to greet us. We decided to grab a couple of menus and sit down to decide. After about 7-10 mins we walked back to the front, nobody greeted us still but we heard a few teenage voices from the back laughing and talking. We coughed and shuffled and tried to make our presence known.
After waiting a few minutes nobody came, but I didn’t want to call out through the curtain or be rude, so I ended up just calling the place that way they heard the phone ring. Someone eventually came to the front after hearing the phone ring and took our order, covering her mouth while chewing food. Our bobas were brought to us, and the boba pearls were not even cooked all the way you would think for a place that strongly advertises boba AND has a sister store that sells boba, they wouldn’t be hard and undercooked. I didn’t want to be a pain and bring it up to them so we tried to brush it off.
They didn’t bring out our meals together, so I sat and waited about 5 mins while my bf ate his. The “salad” was just lettuce with sauce. No other toppings. The sushi was pretty good.
Other customers came in and were greeted quickly, unlike we were. Overall, the workers were polite but crappy service, food was alright, and the undercooked boba sucked. Wasn’t worth the money

This place is a little pricy but the food is great. They also serve a pretty large portion for the price. They don’t list what their special sauce is however, to me it seemed similar to spicy mayo, so if you don’t like spicy mayo, be sure to ask them about their I Heart sauce and what’s in it. I myself am a bit sensitive to things like spicy mayo but can still eat it. Compared to the atmosphere of the interior, I felt that the menu was a little too loud and chaotic in appearance (plus the different colors on one side seemed random and nonsensical until you see a color key on the other side of the menu) plus it is not friendly to people who have color-blindness since it places mid-bright colors in dark colored backgrounds. My colorblind fiance was not able to read some areas of the menu. Nonetheless, I give this place five stars for the quality and portion sizes of the food.
