We ordered the popular Armenian Pizza for lunch, the viral fruit mousse pastry (mango which is most popular) and a hazelnut eclair. Everything we had was delicious and highly recommended. Their many real-looking fruit mousse pastries are $10 each, but well worth the cost as they are delicious, not too sweet and very satisfying to cut/bite into.
If you are in the Burbank area and want to try something different or some more familiar food items, you should definitely come to Alta Dena Bakery. They are a solid 4.5 stars overall.
I was impressed by the variety of dessert options that were offered. We took a few different options from their dessert menu. Everything tasted great. Especially their mango and coconut cream desserts were delicious.
Then we saw that they were also serving wood fire pizzas. So we took three different types and the pizzas were really tasty.
I gave their Philly Fries a go and it was excellent. Fries topped with beef, cheese, mushrooms, peppers, and their signature sauce. I also tries one of those viral fruit desserts that I always see and selected Mango. It was delicious with a sweet candy shell around a white mousse and mango-fruit filling. Very rich. If you order one to-go, they’ll hold about an hour in the car before they start to melt.
The cooks and servers were so nice and helpful. In terms of atmosphere (at the time of writing this), they really decked the halls with Christmas decorations and trees. Very cute. There is a pretty strick operation to ordering: when you walk in, make a left to the bakery and grab a number (even if you’re ordering kitchen items). When you call up, place the order. Café items will be handed to you over the counter while the kitchen orders will call your name. It’s not as complicated as it sounds and they’ll help you if need be. It just gets really busy at times.
Can’t reccomend this place enough. Give it a try.
They weren’t just super cool to look at, they tasted amazing! We ordered eight of them.
Almost missed our flight home but it was Definitely worth it. We bought a lunchbox and filled it up with ice and brought them home for everyone else to enjoy also.
